My husband and I do not have any kids but we have two dogs, Disney’s Fort Wilderness is our favorite place ever. I would much rather stay at Fort Wilderness than any other Disney resort because you would have screaming kids running down the hallways. We love it there.

By the way, you're at a campground at Disney, so yes, there are going to be kids. We go in September and the main pool is actually not bad at all and by the way there is a quiet pool that's more comfortable without so many kids. You just have to do your research.

My family and I LOVE the campground, so many pluses when staying at Disney properties, we're actually heading there the last week of May YAY!! My 67 year old parents absolutely love it. I did want to mention there is a second pool, smaller, but nice and quiet, I believe you would've enjoyed that pool better, in the back of the campgrounds they have the horses and nice walking trails. My parents also love to go Resort hopping, taking the boat up to MK and then the monorail (or another boat) to The Contemporary, The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. Maybe give it another try. Great video, always nice to hear other peoples perspective about the Fort. Keep having FUN!

Couple things, you are not forced to rent a golf cart. Disney has internal busses that take you wherever you want to go inside the campground. We used our bikes to get around. Second if you want to see the Disney Horseshoe go to the back of the campground at the Settlement and see the Disney Horses. Third the premium meadows can be cheaper depending on the time of year. I have stayed inside the exact same loop for 180$.

Ooof!!!!! When the attendant said that your RV Spot was 62ft, I thought, it was plenty big... but watching you drive through the curves and narrow pathways... and then use a "Shoe Horn" to ultimately park between the signage and barely on the pavement 😬😬😬...really nice work "Threading the Needle"!!! And for the surge pricing, they need to redesign those parking spaces with less curves!!!!! Sorry that Disney is "Out of Season"... we're all kids at heart!!! We went for a week the 1st of December 2022 and 2023. Yes, it’s tight especially when people put out Xmas decorations. The rv park was made in the 70s for the workers building WDW. We love to go to Bill Frederick Park @ Turkey Lake an Orlando City Park $25 right outside Universal when we are not going to go to WDW properties. It has the Ft Wilderness feel without the price. It’s 14 miles to WDW via easy back roads less traffic. Also, use the pool and spa in the Ft Wilderness cabin area, no one is usually there.

I see you are driving a Lincoln awd. I have not seen them on the toad lists. Did you have to modify in any way to flat tow? What year is yours? We are planning to buy a Prevost and trying to find a toad. Want a little bit of luxury. Not sure I want to drive a jeep as my every day car or an older CRV. Thanks for your feedback in advance.
@LiveTomorrowNow6 ай бұрын
Good hearing from you Cindi! You have to get the Lincoln Nautilus to work. Ours is a 2019. It’s a little weird hooking it up. A Jeep has an easy button to hit to make it disengage. Not sure if the current Lincoln Nautilus has made it easier to disengage when hooking up to the bus. We do love the Lincoln ride when we drive around. But the disengage seems like engineering at Lincoln took the night off. It works, it’s just odd. Hope that helps. 💕Zack & Linda

When we had young kids,(they are now 38 and 43), we took them to Disney. We had already been when we were fairly new, newlyweds, before the kids. It was very nice. Disney was, well, Disney. When we took the kids, it was 30 years ago. IMHO, Disney is no longer Disney and IMO nobody should be taking their kids to Disney, it's sad to say. Walt would be crushed and devastated. The woke nonsense in everything Disney touches is ridiculous. Y'all have an absolutely gorgeous motor coach. That Prevost looks good on y'all. Had to just about close my eyes while you were backing into you site. We have a 39' Newmar D.P and I can't imagine parking a 43-45' coach in there. Safe Travels. Agree, Dollywood is great.

It was stressful going down that RV road and pulling in. And no escort for $305 per night. Disney is overpriced and out of touch. 💕Zack & Linda
@carolineshomestead2560Ай бұрын
Um, I don’t think Walt would be crushed. “Well Uncle Walt started out as a steady Democrat, though as he aged he became more conservative until his split with the Democratic party during the 1940 election. No doubt he was unhappy with Franklin D. Roosevelt, and his bid for a third term. He became a steady financial contributer to the Republican party and to especially for Thomas E. Dewey a Republican, who ran for president in 1944,, and 1948, and served as the 47th governor of New York state from 1943 to 1954. To fine tune an understanding of Walt Disney is to understand that although he tried to embody American ideals and family, he did not go so far as to accept unions or rights of workers. Indeed his company has been one of paying slave wages to overseas workers who make high end toys for sale in this country. A good deal more information on Disney was broadcast on PBS’s American Experience in 2015.” Walt would have loved the money. I still love Disney World but Walt wasn’t some walk on water human being.
@rickl6697Ай бұрын
@@carolineshomestead2560 No employer embraced unions, they are forced to deal with them. I don't know what they pay for wages in other countries but I bet it's the going wage for workers. It's not "slave wages" because slaves aren't paid any wages. It was a way more wholesome company before his death. I didn't know of Walts political leanings one way or the other and back then even reporters like Walter Cronkite and Huntley and Brinkley report didn't wear their politics on their sleeves like today's reporters although I suspect they were Democrats they would be appalled at what has become of their party, if they were Democrats. As far as PBS I don't put much stock in anything they or NPR have to say these days. Safe travels. My comment was to the O.P.
