@@CosmoWeems Yes and like you I am retired from the work that supported me and my family for so many years and continues to do so in the way of pension. We all had to sell a part of our souls in return for present and future financial support and to that degree we were not free from obligations and responsibilities. That was the tradeoff. As I often told my kids: "The decisions you make or not make today will inevitably affect what happens tomorrow and beyond." The harshest determiner of our freedom is not outside influence but rather the acute perception of our own thought process that will guide us in our goals of individual freedoms.

Cosmo - thanks for the great content. Although I do not have a teardrop trailer ( I have a Class B) much of your gear and techniques are relevant I could not find the exact video to post this comment to, but I am interested in the camera with 1000x zoom that you demonstrated. The item on your amazon page doesnt seem to be this camera. Planning on going on an African safari and was looking for a camera. I got the sense that this one was "portable" without lugging a lot of lenses.
@carlschulz10572 жыл бұрын
I found the video: Boondocking Minnesota North Shore in a Vistabule Teardrop Trailer Subaru Overlanding about 10 minutes in you zoomed in on a Lighthouse. You said 1000mm lens not 1000x mag. Anyway - can you let me know the camera.😉
@CosmoWeems2 жыл бұрын
Hi Carl. I shoot almost all my video on that camera for the past few years. I still like it for its portability but of course its not perfect. To enjoy the long reach of the camera I strongly recommend a tripod. I like this one. Its not full size but its quite compact and easy to use and great for active travel, of course there are many options. I tried 2 of the imports that reverse the legs over the tripod head to make the tripod more compact and found they were too slow for me to deploy. Slik is faster which is critical when dealing with wildlife. I will be looking for some great photography when you return. Bring plenty of extra batteries! I take no less than 3 batteries (which fit in the case) I put a plastic card in the outside pocked to protect the camera from the batteries. I sometimes get into some rough situations! amzn.to/3PG5rku amzn.to/3dMWcC0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6mYmH1nnc-ad9U kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3e6nZR8f7mNq8U Camera case www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003F7DWH8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Regards =Cosmo

Hello. Tables chairs and carpets - 10 min or less. 4 Leg canopy takes about 10 min if I stake it down 15 min. A little longer to take it down due to packing the gear and packing the car. I pay much less for propane. I have larger tanks. I think I was paying a dollar a pound. Most of that $10 is for the container (which is being thrown away, and the shipping). There are videos about how to refill those Coleman green bottles from a larger tank. You may want to check them out.
