Instruction and pictogram printed and sealed in plastic attached to the inside of the access door really help minimize turning the valves the wrong away.

Very cool. I need to re plumb my water pump to the house plumbing they had it setup to be pressured from a hose Need to figure it out Make some cuts. Trying to figure out if the old metal fittings or connections are reusable or need to cut the pipe and make new stuff.

I suppose shark bite would be fine since the water pressure in a trailer is nothing compared to the water pressure in a city waterline

Thanks for the pex video but as a professional plumber we wont use push on sharkbite fittings. vibration is rough on the little oring.They make us a lot of business. Use crimp fittings but in a pinch on the road SB is ok . Cheers!!

Rick diculas go ahead and spread your pro shark bite the rv industry uses only at check valves as it’s easier to replace and get to . It is not industry wide either . Ac o rings are set up differently as well. They are set in metal tubes that when tightened they don’t spin around on plastic. You wrote a very long misinformation piece ! Use as a temporary but not permanent situation . Use crimps ! Easier and less expensive .

We try not to make the same mistake by using something that we can only use out in the open if it leaks we use parts that just don’t leak my profession depends on it

you did right , but the copper shark bite fittings are not compatible with plumbing antifreeze the seal inside will end breaking causing another leak if you really had to use shark bite you should have use the plastic version unless you use compress air to winterise it

Sharkbites do blow off. I'm a plumber, and I have seen it happen. They're good to be used temporarily in a pinch, but don't leave them in your expensive RV

I've not found that to be the case. Removed an inline water filter on our Class A MH 11 years ago and used sharkbite fittings to re-connect the piping. Still holding today (2021) and has never leaked.

Thinking about trading my grizzly 700 for one of these 550. I know it's not going to have the power of my grizzly but that's ok. Have a hobby farm and could use it around here more than 4 wheeler. If it goes 80 km thays pretty good. Overall I'm looking for a machine with longevity not speed anf like u said in video it's easier on belts u joints etc. Just want it to last a long time. Overall would u trade a 700 grizzly for one of these

I didn't see you use any plumber's tape or top off the plastic pieces you put together with 100% silicone. Did you do that at all?
@outliersoverland

Thank you for watching. It was not necessary, if things work as designed. Those threaded pieces are a flare / compression fitting and the sharkbite ones should not leak.

I have plastic black isolation valves that are made out of plastic and they seem to be pushing out the back side and leaking. Does that require that the valve replaced in its entirety? Or can just the O rings be replaced?

If there’s valves you can use them to bypass areas of your system. If there’s no valves put some in.

@@jeannetteviera9299 The white Flair-it fittings are a good choice. So are Pex crimp fittings, either pinch clamp or copper band type. Anything but Shark Bite or anything similar. They are garbage for permanent repairs, but good for temporary. My job? RV repair for 24 years.

Gerald Brock well technically it's a hot water storage device and after the first heating of cold water the thermostat then kicks in to heat the hot water, so yes, you are correct and so is Ben.
