Awesome drinking game, I had a slab leak in my house and the repair was made with PLEX and shark bite fittings. Such cool stuff all made easier in this day and age, maybe we will goto the MOON someday. LOL
@GetGonewithUS2 жыл бұрын
Thanks David! It's a little early in the morning, but Cheryl and I took a drink 🍺 when we read PLEX in your comment! LOL It is so much easier to do plumbing in the RV or the house with the advancements that have been made. 😀

Hello from Ouray, Colorado!! Thank you very much for this very informative video!! We were out on a 2 week boondocking trip that started in the northern part of Colorado, and we worked our way south so as to catch different areas to enjoy their aspen leaf changes. But, my thetford toilet started leaking.....and the leak got bigger with time. I had split the bowl from the pedestal, in April, so as to change the ball valve seal. My guess is I may have tightened the water supply connection too much (an idiot mistake....but knowing how tight one tightens an auto oil filter, no doubt I tweaked the seal). Anyways...with our toilet down, our whole water system was down; so, we came home today. I want to use what I learned from you on this video and install shut off valves on each of our water basins (kitchen sink, bathroom sink, shower, and toilet). Then, if I have another problem, that can be isolated and we continue to operate the rest of the travel trailer. QUESTION: my toilet water supply line is not pex. It is actually a relatively stiff piece of potable water tubing. Do you feel these pex clamps will work with that type of tubing also?

Hi Alan. I never looked into it myself, so I really don't want to say yes or no. I would research it online and make sure you get the right fittings for the job. Good Luck! 😀

Another great video. Good to see you folks back doing videos. When it comes to how to fix or maintain or adjust something on the RV you always come through. I will often reference your videos to folks who ask how to do something on the RV forums and facebook rv sites. I enjoy your content more than some of the other KZbin creators as I want to see how to do stuff on the RV more than I want to see where folks are traveling to or RV reviews. Keep up the excellent work.

Hi Guys! Thanks for another informative video. We have decided to put reclining theater seating in the RV, and just a couple days ago , LL said "I think Get Gone with Us did a video on THEIR install !" After just watching this video I checked your playlist and lo and behold (RV Reclining Loveseat Installation) . So thanks for that video too, I think? lol Take care, Bruce

Hi Bruce! You are welcome! We are sure you will love the reclining seating. We put one in our Class C when we had it and as you already know, we put one in Maggie too. We absolutely love having the reclining loveseat. Good luck on the install. 😀

Cool video. One of the nice things about Pex is you can rotate it around after its clamped. You could have just turned the valve around without taking it apart.

The pass-thru holes seem large enough for mice to get in past the tubing hanging down. Maybe pack the space with steel wool to close the gap.
@GetGonewithUS2 ай бұрын
Thanks. Been there, done that. We have been lucky with no mice. We did pack steel wool everywhere a while back. 😊

I am changing out my water pump using the fittings that came with my Shurflo pump. I have to remove the existing fittings as they are different. After inserting the new fitting into the pex the pex clamp will not fit over the fitting burr, what the issue?.

question for you, why pex b and not pex a? pex a fittings have a much larger id so much less flow restriction. we use pex a regularly in home renovations

Veer nice....just to mention though, your crimps were 1/16" off the end of the pex...you really do need to be 1/4" - 1/8" from flush depending on the fitting you're going on to.
@GetGonewithUS6 ай бұрын
I mentioned how far to mount them at timestamp 12:45 Where are you seeing 1/16" and how did you measure from a video?
