@@GrassRootsLiving BTW - your video was simply TERRIFIC! But now I'm going to have to add lots of those wonderful items to my "grocery list" and head for Amazon, etc. Thankfully, I'll be able to return to your YT video for some of our missing items. Regarding the Mainstay Emergency Food bars, when in the military (Vietnam) I learned that either honey or Tabasco sauce makes most anything taste better. Many thanks ~ Michael

We have emergency items in the motorhome and if we use them we replace them. Even a tin of soup or beans and a packet of rice can be classed as emergency supplies. Great video 😃 Trev

I wish everyone would start an emergency supply. One never knows when one will need it. Many times we have had to go to our emergency kit. It is nice to know it is there when we need it. Thanks for watching! :) -Dean

Just looked in b.o.b. And here are some stuff for suggestions: folding saw to cut down tree limbs, glow sticks , knife sharpener, weather radio, waterproof paper and pen, foldable maps, wet wipes, small axe, a weeks worth of storable food in an plastic ammo can....just some suggestions good luck everyone and God bless, Bob and Deb

Now you're describing our bug-out bag! That's where we keep all of those things PLUS MORE!!! We don't have foldable maps though, and that's a very good idea. Thanks.

Lol Yes, I should know better but they are so stylish! I totally agree about the rat tail. I won't even try it though. Once it got big enough to see, Shalane would just cut it off in the middle of the night. lol Thanks for watching!

Good ideas fishing line,hooks,sinkers,hunting knife Do you guys plan on going full time soon? Safe and happy travels 😃🌵🌲✌️👍
@GrassRootsLiving4 жыл бұрын
My wife is teaching at a local school. However, she told them she would only teach there, if they gave her all of January off so we can travel. As a teacher, she will get the summer off for travelling as well. Add Spring break and we will get to do plenty of travelling. We have actually talked about just living in our truck camper for all of 2021. We would use the tiny house as storage. Would we be considered full-timers then? Some would say yes, some would say no. I do plan on taking my fishing equipment with me when we travel. Thanks so much for watching all the videos you watched!!!! :) :) :)

A homemade twig stove made from a tall juice can, a tall tomato sauce can, a can open and punch, and a steak knife. Kitty litter is dual purpose; go potty and for traction. Just remove the batteries and store with the item. Thats a lot of stuff; do you keep all this in a super large tote? (Ha)
@GrassRootsLiving4 жыл бұрын
lol Nope, it all fits in the backpack. I have seen these twig stoves. Agreed on the dual use of kitty litter. Great idea on the batteries. Thanks for your insight!

Add a bag of Cheetos or Doritos, great for starting fires when windy and gives you extra calories.
