Hey Matthew, you can adjust that stop on the steps over to catch the lip on the door. Just loosen those two bolts that hold it in and slide it to the right and retighten the bolts.

For that issue with you steps going past the door frame, those stops that catch the door frame are adjustable. Just need to loosen those 2 hex head bolts and slide the bracket out a bit and then tighten those bolts back up. Best of luck and may God bless you in your travels.

Mathew! I was going to tell you the same thing as Donnie! Loosen up those 2 bolts and you will be able to slide the step retention bracket (it sounds good anyway) out to fit farther into the door frame better and keep the step retention bracket from going behind the door frame. You should have seen that...I know, you were just wanting to have a good rant!

Shion we have the outside steps that hang from our camper. We fold them up outside when traveling. We think they are the best. There’s been several situations, if we had the steps you have, we could not have put them out because no ground clearance. Plus cleaning the dirt in them when they go inside is a pia. Smiles.

I don't think manufacturers build these things to only be used "2 weeks out of the year" but their QC is non-existent across the board (except for fully custom RVs). We have a Solitude that is "supposedly" designed more for fulltime living but not any better QC. We take trips in it every month, some longer than others, but live in a house with the RV parked here. It is a constant work in progress. Not perfect but perfect for us. Safe travels!

after living for many yrs at sea level, we moved far away to about 3,000 ft elevation and a very cold dry winter climate. it took us a YEAR to acclimate! we both could work full time but after that we went to bed early and didnt have any energy to play sports until a year later. But yrs before that we reversed the move, from a high dry very cold climate down to sea level moderate very wet climate, and that resulted in after a days work, everyone in the whole house went to bed very early as we were all very sluggish with all that moisture in the air dragging us down.

Awwww....OUCH! Matthew - towing a travel trailer (Mine is 33' long) also has the back end swing out like your 5th wheel does - you need to plan ahead on sharp curves and watch that you don't drop a tire or axle into a ditch or off of the road. How in the heck did your steps get out of whack and stuck behind the door frame? Did the trailer flex that much? (yes, I also say "Make it better".) WOW - that was one cold night! Were you worried about your water lines freezing? LOL - your fire pit frozen. Matthew - it's below freezing and you're wearing sandals and socks. One year we were given a warning by an RV park manager that a cold snap was coming and that we should pull in our water hoses. I disconnected my hose, stored it in the back of my truck (It has a camper shell on it) - lo and behold - the darn hose froze when it was in the truck - but our water tank was fine as it gets warmth from the heater. I was concerned that you being in the clouds, your solar won't work. That hunter was very rude - he should not have passed through your area - he should have gone somewhere else - he did that on purpose. (BTW, I have 357 reasons why you don't want to mess with me or my rig.) You might be in a really pretty place, but I do not like it that cold for more than a day or three. Yes, hiking in elevation over 9,000 feet is hard on the lungs. See ya on the next video.

Our stairs have gotten stuck a handful of times now but hopefully, we have a solution to fix it, so it won't happen again! Matthew loves wearing his socks and sandals, LOL 😂It is definitely a challenge camping in cold temps and we will go over all our winter prep in our next video! 😁We thought the hunter was very rude too, especially when there are tons of other areas to hunt. We definitely had to breathe harder being that high up in elevation but it was so worth it! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew

You found an amazing space and we loved our time up in that area. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a hidden gem, one of our favorite parks to date. Hello to the both of you two. Great video love every min of it ! My wife and I went to Yosemite last year. It was like cliff on one side white line on the other side and then 2" on the other side of the white line a 300 to 500 drop off. She was almost in tears so I did not ask her to take picture for me. Ok so I did ask her to take pictures for me lol . I will not type what she said to me. I found out that day how scared of highs my wife is. After about 20 min I really got into the curves because it was you came out of one curve to go into another curve. We have a 40' class A .

The hunter should have come by, but in his defense, shotgun pellets of the kinds used for duck hunting and other game birds, unlike rifle bullets, do not go very far before their energy is mostly expended. On the Air Force Base, where my RV is stored, there is a shotgun range close by as well as horse stables and other buildings and personnel. Quite often, there are people shooting on that range, and I believe I'd have more concern about getting struck by a clay pigeon than by a shotgun pellet. Still, the hunter should have come by at least to let you know how long he expected to be there.

If you dont like heights when you drive then WHY did you go there? try taking the hwy 74 from LA into Palm Desert. the coachella valley vista point; oh my its at least a 4,000 ft drop series of hairpin turns and switchbacks, very intimidating indeed. by the time we had reached the bottom of it, i thought they shd rename it Divorce Drive! we stayed at the shadown mtn tennis resort, fabulous place, in 2016 and 3 days into our stay we were shaken awakened by an earthquake, a super LOUD SCREECHING sound, it was the deep rock underground cliffs scraping together as they broke apart and moved! the overhead beam above the outer doorway of our condo broke, splintered like a match and thereafter the door would not hold still! we were waiting for the whole front foyer to collapse! we told the mgmnt but they didnt bat an eye nor look at it for structural damage.
