Do you remove the glass base when baking on convection?

I know this is an ancient video, but I have a question. I have an RV and a regular microwave which is in the cabinet above the stove. It just died. Can I use a combo microwave/convection oven in that same cabinet or will it give off heat and make it a fire hazard or something?

Thanks … downgrading from a Class A to an Rpod this week and I’ve never used a convection oven. Seems great except for the fact that I don’t think my amazing NY style pizzas I love to make will be the same as when I use my pizza stone. Though if you’ve tried making fresh pizza in it let me know,

Thank you, Nikki and Fleetwood! This "RV Quick Tip" series is a great idea and great help to newbie RVers (and wannabe RVers)! As with most (all?) great ideas, doing such a series seems an obvious need, making one wonder why no one did this earlier (if they did, I missed it).
