finally a travel vlogging channel that puts out incredible content that is pandemic-friendly! the rv renovation may be endless, but it's great to show that people can keep themselves busy and creative while staying relatively isolated :) can't wait for the rest!

Make a cover for the sink to increase counter space when you aren't using it, and check your floor layout to see if you have room for a drop down/flip up countertop extension on the side. The piece of countertop you cut off can make some nice matching shelving above the kitchen area, or some corner shelves on the stove side going up to the upper cabinets with a rail around them to keep things in place!

That area next to the slide out trash would be good for cutting boards & pans as well!

You need to scribe that right hand side of your counter top. That will make it fit perfectly without a trim piece. Trim traps dirt, dust, and germs. Scribe it and put a bead of silicon caulk around it. Just search KZbin. There's plenty of vids on scribing.

Starting off with a pun? Always a solid choice. The RV is really coming together! PS: every time you say "Menards", Ray Szmanda's face pops into my head reminding me that I, too, can save money at Menards. PPS: my husband and I are so enjoying watching your vlogs and so appreciate your sense of humor and "roll with the punches" mentality. Super positive and fun. We're happy to have found your delightful little corner of youtube.

I recommend an under cabinet mount sink. We are putting one in our RV, that way we can use the cutout for the sink as a drop in to create more counter top when the sink is not in use.
@Theendlessadventure3 жыл бұрын
That was our original plan, but we're not sure we'll get the hole right, so we may do a top mount to keep it easier. 😅 stay tuned, though!

Suggestion - if you have enough countertop, scribe the edge to the wonky wall, and cut it to fit (rather than relying on trim to cover the gap). And look for a 5 or 6 inch random orbit sander...watching you go with that detail sander is making my head hurt! You'll get better results at a fraction of the time. Keep it up!
@nicktombs18763 жыл бұрын
Totally hooked on your restoration! I get withdrawal symptoms when your film is about travelling. That unit is fairly square, just put a piece of angle trim on the joint, I've worked in comstruction for over 30 years and thats what the proffesionals do, trust me.
