I remembered seeing this video, a few months back, I watch all your motor home videos as I have a 2005 adventurer 35U. As a snowbird am getting ready to head south, so you have helped me immensely from front to back with all my fluid changes I including your on an 5500 oil change. Well yesterday was checking out the dash AC and it wasn’t working, blowing warm air when the AC is supposed to be on, compressor cycling on and off, suspected low refrigerant, checked and sure enough had to top it up, which went well, pressures all good, compressor running well. Still had no cold air, warm with it set at maximum cold, hot when set at maximum hot. Started looking around under the hood and thought maybe the vacuum operated heater valve was stuck open, it has the green vacuum line. Then I noticed the blue vacuum line was disintegrated, bunch of blue granules. This I assume controls the damper door for the blower unit? So I found some 1/8 vacuum plastic line today and some rubber tubing to splice the 1/8 “ line together. Ive decided to splice it where it goes out the firewall under the passenger sliding tray which I have removed. I will do both the heater control line (green) and the AC line (blue). I think the deterioration of the line was from heat in the engine compartment. A note on the part number for the heater control valve, you had mentioned YG136, which I couldn’t find up here in Canada, ford crossed it over to D4AZ18495A and my auto parts crossed it over to 74612. I’ll let you know how it goes with replacing the blue and green vacuum lines, and if it was successful to finally get some cold air of the dash system. Thanks again, for all your help.

Hate those Meeces to pieces. Think I will put in a dash mounted vacuum gauge. Old school mechanics tool I miss.

Just take a piece of the old one to any auto parts store they should have a roll of vacuum line they can sell you by the foot
