I've never "RVed" with an actual driveable RV, but we have a camper. We've been all over the US in it and it's a lifestyle I really enjoy, just getting in the car and traveling, seeing the country's natural beauty.
@no_name28823 жыл бұрын
I used to do the same with my mum and dad when I lived in a small town Called Karratha in WA (Western Australia). We used to go all over the place and when we moved to Sydney we did a six day trip with our camper and arrived on New Years in Sydney at exactly 11:30 so we could watch the fire works. Amazing times!
@arokh723 жыл бұрын
@@no_name2882 My MIL did similar herself. She used to regularly travel between Sydney and Perth in her campervan, till she moved to Perth. She recently did Perth to Townsville in her campervan, and unfortunately got caught up lockdowns mid year. The advantage of the campervan was she was able to spend 14 days outside of a hot spot, then cross the border from Qld - NT, then spend 14 days just outside of Katherine, and the cross from NT - WA to get home.

I shed happy tears watching this. Thank you. When I graduated high school my parents and I went to Yellowstone in our RV. We spent the night in Jackson and made this exact drive. It was my dad's lifelong dream to camp at Yellowstone and he has since passed. He always wanted a "baby" Freightliner to pull our 5th wheel camper, lol.

I was a park ranger in Yellowstone for years I am rather surprised at how accurate it is. The government area in Old Faithful has the actual shape and physical look of Employee Pub, Hotel Employee Dorms, my old Office at the Emergency Services Building. Impressive! Jeff, there are retirees that live and volunteer in national parks for a month or two at a time. The parks give them a place to park their RV and a small stipend, there you go! The “cabin” at the snake River picnic area is in fact the south entrance ranger station/ backcountry office. I once saw a guy with two Llamas shoved into the back a Chevy Astrovan in that picnic area.

We came over from the UK in 2019 and took a 34 foot Motorhome across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Greatest vacation we ever had. Didn’t have time to visit Wyoming so we’ll need to make a return trip. In the meantime, I’ll pick up the RV from Steam and have a couple of relaxing trips myself.

I remeber living in a RV for 3 years due to a hurricane. It was a very nice RV. Not a actual house but it made a roof over our heads until completion over our house. Yellowstone is a beautiful park, I hope you get the chance to visit it! I'm more of a tent camper myself, but either way, there's nothing like enjoying the outdoors. The game's version of Yellowstone has some pretty recognizable landmarks. And the speed limit is definitely accurate haha... it's a strict 45 in the whole park - I got pulled over by a park ranger in Yellowstone so learned that one the hard way! Drove like 5 miles on a narrow road with him right behind me before there was a safe place to pull over, fortunately got off with a warning!

I also grew up R.Ving. We would spend 3 months out of the year camping up near Yosemite at a place called Yosemite Lakes. It used to be absolutely beautiful up there before whatever happened to the place either flood or fire destroyed all the trees that used to cover the entire RV site. I did that from the time I was in 3rd grade till I was 15. I plan to get a RV one day big enough for me to live in and spend the rest of my life going from camp ground to camp ground seeing all that beautiful scenery and fishing. Does this game have a place where you can park your RV and simulate camping? I guess the RV would have to be able to be set up also l.

As someone who worked in Yellowstone this summer and made this drive from Jackson back into the park many times, this is actually pretty impressive. I am slightly disappointed in what they chose to model. This is fairly accurate, but it’s the least interesting area of the park. I would’ve loved to see Mammoth, Old Faithful, Canyon Village, Lake, West Yellowstone or Gardiner. West Thumb is nice…but it’s not really Yellowstone.
