RV Slow-Rise Roller Shade Repair

The spring broke in my Slow-Rise Day shade. I called Irvine Window & Shade and she asked me a couple of questions, confirmed my address, and said they'd put the new parts in the mail for me, free of charge! Awesome service!

Thank you for posting this very helpful video. Had a slow rise night shade suddenly unroll on our drive home yesterday. Contacted Irvine Window & Shade to describe the issue. Cheryl also needed the diameter of the aluminum tube (they make 1.25”, 1”, and 0.75” sizes). Asked her to include a mounting bracket just in case I have issues removing and re-installing. They’re sending parts no charge to me. Thanks again.

Ok, you can adjust the stop position, to stop the shade from going up. How you adjust the shade so when you pull it down lower and stop it at different heights ? I can not get my shade to adjust up and down the window ? Please advise. Thank you Tom

May be a spring tension problem. I can't remember that much about the shades so I suggest contacting their customer support...phone number is in the video description. Thanks you for watching.

My shade fell and I am having trouble getting it reattached to the brackets. How did you do that?

Seems like it takes 3 hands to do this. But may sure you have removed the Valance to give you more access. And maybe ask someone to help hold it in place while you work. Good luck.

What diameter tube did you specify when ordering the slow-rise springs?

It has been so long I can't remember. Their customer service is so good I know for one item I didn't know which part and they sent me several to choose from. Give them a call and they will work with you. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. What you suggested worked a year or so ago. However, I have emailed and called a number of times recently and until today each person I talked with claimed they no longer provided the parts and referred me to a different vendor. Finally, today I got someone on the phone who was happy to send the parts, but insisted they had to have the diameter of the tube first, which wasn’t the way they handled things a year or so ago.

@@deborahwright3271 I fixed mine by taking the end plug off the grab bar. Then cut a piece of 550 para cord the length of the bar minus an inch. With an office stapler, staple the cord to the bottom of the shade. Then slide the grab bar back on and push the end cap in. Done. 2 so far, no more failures. Hot glue instead of stapling might work too.
