I'm a nurse who just started traveling. Have just bought our first camper so that we can venture out further from home. We live in WV. My first long distance assignment will be in Myrtle Beach! So excited! Right now we are renovating and learning about our new camper. My sweet husband will be my partner in crime and he is my best friend and we have talked about this for a few years now. So here we go! Wish us luck. Thanks for your videos as well they are helping us so much.

Your gonna LOVE it!! I can't wait to get back full time. I used to camp ground host it's the best! That's something to look into! Just go online to sign up and get job posting. It could give your hubby a FANTASTIC day job. I did State parks you share with another host, live rent free in amazing places, and sun down the rangers take over. You just NEVER have privacy unless you Leave the area! But if your ok with it, it's Fantastic

Have most of the products you pointed out, either in my home or rig. Love the kallax bookcases & cubes. At this point in my life, I’m 64, Single, traveling in my Class C Winnebago 18D, I mostly purchase IKEA products...a great value. Great video !!!

The blue bags are awesome for laundry too. We carry our clean laundry in that instead of a laundry basket. Also they are great for carrying firewood and loading up the RV like you said. We use those zipper bags to store our blankets (summer camp winter) and they fit pillow’s nicely with the blankets when traveling. It keeps everything clean and ready to use.

We found TILLGÅNG gray plastic trays for 99 cents each. They are 15"x11 " and make the ideal tray for eating while seated on the couch in our trailer. We even keep a couple in the SUV for times when we go through a drive-thru and need to eat in our car. We each have a tray to provide a flat eating surface and avoid spills. Plus they also provide a writing/desk surface.

One of our favorite Ikea items is the "Gladom" table. The top is a removable tray, and the legs scissor flat for storage. Its metal and we like it outdoors between our folding chairs for an end table.

Another benefit of those induction cooktops is that you could use them outdoors. That way if the chef is grilling and needs to cook something on a cooktop at the same time, they can without running back and forth.

We did exactly as was suggested in this video. We replaced the jackknife sofa that no adult over 5 foot tall could sleep on, with a tri-fold futon from IKEA. It makes into a fullsize bed that sleeps two that is much more comfortable than the old sofa as the sofa had a fold down armrest that was a wood box with no padding in the middle of the bed. It is the perfect length when unfolded and the slide is out as you can walk on both sides and the end, not blocking any movement in the camper.

At 8.57 with the floor lamp, not such an RV item. Only other floor lamp I saw was when my parents owned an orange perspex cube floor lamp about the size of a decent side table. It was completely cool to the touch and our cat simply adored sitting right up close to it for many hours a day. We moved the light about from time to time in the room and the cat followed it. Perhaps the orange colour looked warm and cosy and the cat liked that.

Some thing might be a good fit for me but mostly I have limited space unless I get rid of one of the lounge chairs that came with the rig which is not going to happen, I am still (big work in progress) deciding what I need today and what will I need 9 months from now( I am in Florida so there are technically no seasons it's hot March to mid December then cool then warm so go figure) storage is the main goal on where to put it

Also, we get their pans/pots. They work well in trailer, last a while (my husband puts them to a lot of use), inexpensive and made in Italy. I know, not USA, but not China either.

Hmm. Lately when I've gone to Ikea they haven't had what I was looking for in stock (and yes I'd checked their stock prior to the visit - often doesn't line up) so I've gone looking at other stuff just so I don't waste the trip. Sometimes only come away with ideas but that's good too

For small space living I've recently found that Kmart can top Ikea especially at the price point (I did a lot of hmming and measuring at Ikea when I moved into my tiny studio flat, b4 coming to this conclusion). I found a narrow draw unit (and I mean about 15-20cm wide) that I squeezed into a spot near a door and now stores all my underwear, sox etc. I think it's worth mentioning here too, bcos drawers are cloth so it's pretty lightweight (does need to be strapped/attached to something sturdy). But I find Ikea have some surprisingly good stuff for travel!

@@Kitkatrey sorry hon, can't remember what it was called and I just had a look thru their current stock and it wasn't there. I remember I had trouble ordering it at the time - out of stock everywhere and when I asked about this was told that their products change all the time and I should keep an eye out cos it might be back in stock at any time, and lucky for me it did. But now it looks like it's gone. There's stuff obviously in the same line but the other unit that I bought which was a drawer and hanging unit combination is gone too. Maybe you could keep watching their stock? If that item was popular they might bring it back? (I should add that this is a 4 drawer unit but I ordered 2 and managed to stack 1 on top of the other and strapped the whole thing to some metal shelving I already had that didn't quite fill the space. This is why it's been so handy and the drawers are the perfect width - bras stack beautifully and it means I have a drawer for everything: sox drawer, stockings drawer, bra drawer, work bra drawer, bralette drawer, undies drawer etc 😊)

Wattage depends on the one burner or two. You can check it Ikea website for all the specs. As a side note we now have a fogatti two burner induction top. It’s power hungry but we have 4 battle born lithium batteries to power things when boondocking.
