Hint: when backing motorcycle down step ramps, motor off, bike in gear, slip the clutch to control speed, otherwise front brake can skid with possible disastrous results!

Or splash out on a Bike lift that many bike people have on their truck bed ,it does all the work without being on the bike ,and if the bike had to be loaded because of engine failure or the wife had to put the bike away ,she could .

My first memory of my visit to South of the Border was in 1971. It was our usual stop from NY to Florida in August every year. I do not know how my parents did it every year with 7 kids in the car. We couldn’t wait to get to SOB. My Dd would always point out the signs to SOB, he was counting down, lol. I was in my bathing suit dragging my Dad to the pool. My fondest memories. My Dad always swam with me I was the youngest. We stayed in the hotel part. Glad you are all settled and back on the road. Enjoy your visit with Pedro. Safe travels.

We have the same “pretty” flooring in are Cruiser Toy hauler . We also bought the same rubber garage mat to roll out when the bikes on board . We also had that exact scary moment off loading the first time ! I now have the wheel chuck latched to the floor pinching the mat under it . Works like a charm! Also are ramp is shorter then the monument so I put my bike in first gear (engine off) and use the clutch as a rear brake coming down the ramp to help any front wheel slide . Love your videos!! Keep up the great content . Dennis & April Horay.

@janmoline

They are heavy and some are quite thick. I used mine to create a pad that I use under the Leveling feet (yes, I've got the snap on pads but...) when in areas with mud or clay. The horse stall pad was cut to slightly longer but same width as Leveling blocks. They are much easier to clean. I've also used them under the Leveling blocks in gravel.

Been there, done that. My wife was standing by as I rolled out back & pulled rug, chalk & wife out back. She rolled down ramp onto the street. Fortunately only a skinned knee. Camp Pedro is decent overnight stop for us. Well sized level sites, full hookup and not too pricey. Do you always ground your jacks for lunch at rest stops? In all my years of travel if I was within a degree of level (no different then some RV parks) I don't bother grounding the jacks. Been doing it that way for 10 years and multiple RVs without issue. I hope you do a full review on the Volta system and how it ties into your truck. It sounds so interesting.

I fell into the black hole of full time rving videos on KZbin during the early stages of covid lockdowns, and yours is one of my favourites. I think you’re going to find out that almost anything you put underneath your ride is going to scuff the new flooring. It looked like the rug you used slid as you stopped. Yes, it was slippery, but even something that has more gripsion on the underside, is going to move, even a fraction of an inch. And over time, that’s gonna leave a mark. I’m not sure if there’s a way to stop that from happening without permanently fixing the material on the floor. At least not without sitting around for a while and having a couple beverages while you ponder the situation……🤔😏🍺😉 You might even need to get a couple buddies to help with the drinking-I MEAN PONDERING!! That’s what I meant! You should never try to do too much pondering on your own. Nothing good ever happens when you do that.

For your LCI system did you have to go inside to unlock the in motion lock? I have to put stairs down, go inside, unlock, then pick stairs up, then level so i usually just use the leveler keypad then use the app for the slides so i can make sure they don't hit anything. I'm thinking of putting a light switch in the storage bay connected to one of the LCI light switches thst i can toggle which will unlock the in motion lock.but need to figure out how they work first.

Good save with the bike! Good view from the door glass / mirror. I wouldn't trust a sticky mat but bolt the front wheel clamp down with some flush anchors clamping the mat in between. Tie down locations don't prevent much forward / back movement (remember, that's 700+ lbs!).

@@ChangingLanes I have a utility trailer and have it set up where I can install/remove the wheel stop. On your RV you would definitely want to use some type of fastener system (like a rivnut) where everything can be bolted and unbolted from the top. Of course on my utility trailer I didn’t have to worry about top only access. Just an idea.
