My family and I love this campground. Weve been going a few times a year for a few years now. Sometimes we stay at our RV, sometimes we tent camp, and sometimes we rent cabins. We are actually packing up tonight to head there tomorrow for memorial day weeknd and we will return home Monday. A few important things i think you guys forgot to mention was the activity tent that has bingo, bands, beer pong for the adults of course etc. They also have a nice little store that sells anything you may need or have forgotten. Theres a nice arcade, basketball court. There are a few bathroom/shower building's which also have a laundry area. Just all in all our favorite campground for sure!!!

That playground is massive. We have paddle boats at the KOA we are at now and the last 2 times I took all 3 kids out by myself and I was doing ALL the work 😂 My older kids would love to the dirt bike track. It reminds me a little bit of a Jellystone Campground. This campground is now on our list when we plan to go to Pennsylvania. Thank you for the review!

Just stayed there this last weekend. Has gone way downhill since we were there last. As soon as we drove in, we knew we made a huge mistake. They pack too many campers in every little spot they can, to the point it's hard to navigate through the campground. Just because you can put a camper there, doesn't mean that you should. We were in a spot way too small for our rv . Some of the seasonal sites (that are littered throughout the campground) had wooden fences around them held up with cinder blocks and whatever else they could find to prop up against a fence post. Along with makeshift sheds and decks thrown up around them. Obviously, there aren't any rules or regulations to follow. Looked very classy. Was way better years ago when it was Yoi on the River. Not going back.

Thank you for sharing. I love this. Have you ever been to a Jellystone? I was wondering if you had a comparison?

Its great place. I go every summer. One good thing is that they are always updating the events. This summer they are building a indoor black light mini golf course. The sites are a little tight but there is alot to do there. Alot for the kids. Nice place and reasonably priced for rvs sites. Cabins are a little expensive I think. They have so much that other campgrounds do not have. It's worth a try.

RV East Coast we will be down your neck of the woods next week, we are going to Jellystone in Quarryville. It’s the last weekend for the pool to be open so they let the pets swim.

We stayed at that campground a year ago. Loved our stay. We like campgrounds with a large variety of activities which allows individuals to choose what they want to do. I agree there should be some upkeep on certain areas. Very very full over weekends but but much better during week! Fyi knoebels is near there a nice amusement park.
@RVEastCoast4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. We haven’t been to Knobels yet but definitely need to check it out!!

You guys forgot about knoebels amusement park. Its only 25 mins from the campground. Great place and lots of fun. Probably one of the best places to visit while your there. Thanks for the review. We will be heading up there in August.

Did they keep things safe from the virus? Cleaning carts, playground, boats, picnic tables, etc? And the "adult " weekend, I heard something interesting about that. You might want to ask about specifics. I agree, Fawn. Rules. 👍 Safe travels, Eli. I love antique stores! 🙂
@RVEastCoast4 жыл бұрын
Helen, we didn’t notice a lot of cleaning happening. They did enforce masks at the boating area and had signs posted for masks at the store. What did you hear about the adult weekend? Good stuff?? Definitely not our thing but I imagine a lot of people would love this!

We are going to an adult only over 21 party there on Wed. It's a Biker Rally with adult entertainment called Rally on the River. We were invited and can't wait to go! Heard it's a good time and great party!

Agreed. This campground isn't for everyone. Clearly people love it because it's packed all summer, but it's just not our style. We re-booked our Labor Day sites for this year because the kids had so much fun last year, but we will not book them again. This year, the lack of security and cleanliness just really got to us. To each his own, I guess. Give me a quiet, clean state park any day.

We agree, our kids had a wonderful time but we enjoy the peace and serenity and love when a campground is well maintained.

Splash magic is definitely on our "to do" list! I agree with you Eli, the area around the Susquehanna River is very nice! We spent labor day at Little Mexico Campground, it's about 25 minutes away from Splash Magic. There is no water park, but they do have a variety of activities and overall a pretty nice campground.

RV East Coast Awesome! Enjoy...Just be prepared for very poor cell phone reception, we have Verizon and had no service at all. On a positive note their swimming pool is open this weekend!

Oh thanks. Good to know. We had issues at splash magic too with cell phone reception so we’ll be sure to download a few things for the kids before we leave and bring some books.

@RVEastCoast4 жыл бұрын
The cabins run about $200+/night (depends on the day/holiday etc). The wristbands were additional ($12) and that gave you access to paddle boats, bounce pillow and mini golf. They do have more of their rates posted on their website if you are looking for RV or tent sites.

Thanks for the review. We will need to go. My kids would love it. One of the reasons I love your reviews is that you look at the campgrounds from a family perspective. My kids are about the same age (my daughter is a little older) and if your kids like it, mine will too.
