When going to water, cattle usually go down an established trail as they have one goal in mind...get to water, so they follow each other. There aren't as many hazards (holes and rattle snakes can be seen easier) on the trail and they seem to travel faster too. When grazing, they disburse more and move slowly so gopher/praire dog holes aren't so much of a concern. Pronghorn antelope aren't much for the trail like cattle are...they are constantly moving/grazing, usually into the wind so that they can smell any predators in the area and change course as needed.

Got to experience the water pressure regulator need this past year, myself. Park had SERIOUS water pressure, we unknowingly cranked that mutha on up. Luckily the part that broke was the kitchen faucet, not the valve, but the out spigot fragged out, was spraying 180 degrees. The rest of the plumbing was fine. Water pressure regulator and 50 amp circuit checker/surge protector, and a few other things are waiting to go into the RV this year. Can't wait til the weather warms a bit more. High deserts of Eastern Washington have been warm this year, but will still be a while til it's RV'n and boating weather for me.

low pressure is also a concern because you need enough pressure to turn off the toilet valve. If the pressure is too low your valve will run and the toilet will overflow

When we run into low water pressure, we just run our 55psi water pump, using the water in our tank. Just fill your fresh tank when you arrive, and you're set, just like boondocking. We have a large, 25-gallon ASME propane tank mounted in our motorhome that we can't take to get filled without moving our motorhome. To remedy this we got an Extend-a-stay kit that allows us to use the 5-gallon portable DOT tanks that we can throw in our toad and take to town to get filled or just swapped out in an emergency. It's good to have at least a partial tank in reserve so you can still run your fridge while going to get a refill. We're in AZ too, moochdocking with friends in Yuma right now, expanding our solar system to over 5,000 watts, with 23.5 kwh of batteries onboard. It's a little cooler here today. I'm surprised that rattler was active in this cool weather. Take care. Hope to see you down the road.

I've been RVing for 25 years and have never used a regulator. Never had a problem. Your "pipes" will not blow up at 70PSI. RVs are plumbed with PEX, just like your house, which is rated for 160 PSI. If you are worried about low pressure, run from water into your fresh tank and run your RV pump.
@SuperSushidog
@SuperSushidog 6 ай бұрын
I always use a pressure regulator, but I once attached my Clear2-O water filter to the spigot, before the regulator. Unfortunately, the campground's water pressure was 90 psi causing my pre-filter to rupture with a bang, spraying water everywhere. I won't make that mistake again.
@BrokenDreamsReborn

You should always use a water pressure regulator according to the manufacturer's specifications because if water pressure is too high in an RV it will cause leaks. Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew

The pex hoses may be rated for 160psi but that is rated at 73 degrees! That being said most RV parks won’t be outputting that much PSI. While all RVs are not made the same a lot of RVs are not all plumbed with pex and I would say most have a combination of flexible and pex lines and most common failure is at the T junctions where I have seen the wrong crimps on the flexible hose versus a screw on hose clamp for more secure fit.
@SomeTechGuy666
@SomeTechGuy666 6 ай бұрын
@@BrokenDreamsReborn I've never seen an RV manufacturer recommend a pressure regulator. If RVs needed a pressure regulator, RV manufacturers would put one in. KZbin is filled with videos about RV failures. Please show me a single video about someone blowing up their water system from too much pressure. It won't happen because the plumbing that delivers the water to the RV probably has a lower pressure rating than the RV itself.
