everything you have said is mostly user error. your first two parts, yes this is a lightweight trailer, as most trailers in this size are starting at 1000lb vs the 550lb of yours. and in order to get this trailer, it must be shipped, and to get cheaper shipping, it would come like this. Many trailers do this. Now the directions i cant help with, but most of your issues stem from poor install. if you get a real person to fix it, it should last. i dont own one, but having seen them in person, i wouldnt have issues buying one

Thanks for your feedback, Obviously you know my thoughts ☝. I had a horrible experience. Maybe someone else has a better one. BTW Someone eventually stole my trailer if you didn't catch that update 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fabLhXiQatWcgck And, I don't tow anymore 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqWtiZWgm8hkd7M 🙏 Thanks for watching Shane! 🙏 - BlogginBrandi 🙋

I'm considering buying one. You think the bearing issues and broken wheel lugs are user error from an initial setup standpoint? How about it rusting in 6 months?
@shanehook10104 жыл бұрын
@@todngo the rust thing could be so many things, bad prep before powder coat, scratch which let water under, where you live (ie, salt states) the rest are easy to fix and do seem like improper build. If you have never built anything, then not sure its best to start here, but if you know what you are doing, then its easy, make sure it square and things are done right.
@RVersity4 жыл бұрын
@todngo yes & no. It rusted because of the manufacture quality. Every trailer is going to rust. You can get chemicals to help. lugs broke due to the assembly of the 3rd party trailer company that kendon sells to aka I bought it from. FYI the trailer comes in a million pieces so you have to put it together. The bearings I’ve heard some people say they pack their bearings (grease them) often and others say they never touch them for 20 years. Buying this trailer depends on what you are doing. Need it for saving space? I have a new motorhome now with a garage so I just pull my smart car in the garage. No more towing for me after someone stole my trailer. But, if I had to Tow again I might consider a covered trailer so you can take additional items or have more space. But again it all depends on why you want this trailer. You may have a great experience with kendon. I obviously didn’t and it was over a combination of things mentioned... - Bloggin Brandi

@ShaneHook agreed if you have any mechanical knowledge then any trailer might be easier to deal with. I’m not a trailer mechanic 👩🔧 🧰 But if I knew more if probably feel more comfortable dealing with all these issues I had. It’s never fun to Have to rely on other people. - Bloggin Brandi

Have you ever gotten the trailer fixed? Did Kendon give you any support? If not, have you found another brand to haul your SmartCar?
@RVersity5 жыл бұрын
Support from Kendon? 😂😂😂😂 If you call THREATENING me for telling the #Truth about their trailer and brand.... AND the people who are representing their brand aka selling their trailers then YEAH they helped a lot. Trailer update coming soon. It got fixed alright, but not like you would expect.😗 Yes, I do have a BIG announcement about how I now take my Smart Car everywhere. I assume you are subscribed so you will know when that video comes out 🙋

Don’t you have any regulations regarding the construction and use of trailers in the States, there’s no way that thing would be allowed on the roads in the U.K. or EU, all trailers over this side of the pond have to be certified, if not your insurance would be invalid in case of an accident. Look at how a U.K. Smart Car trailer is constructed, heavy gauge hot dipped galvanised steel, braked etc and probably the same price, or less!

Ever thought that you didn't put it together right?
@jackfurr77912 жыл бұрын
Just wonderful of the last person to BLAME THE VICTIM!! IF the manufacturer can't get the parts to you THEY ARE A PROBLEM!! It also should not rust from the rain or need bearing repack in 5,00 miles of use.. Does anyone have a suggestion for a trailer that can tow an 1800 lb smart car?? Also Kendon seems to have pulled this product apparently, or disguised it as an off road tow trailer.

This review is not accurate. My feeling is whoever put it together screwed up the reliability. I have one that was put together by the manufacturer themselves and I would never buy anything else on the market. I wouldn’t blame the trailer, I would blame the Handman that likely didn’t use the proper torque and lock tight on the nuts and has no idea about electrical. I hope you got it all figured out.

thank you for being very honest I really appreciate you for telling everyone how crappy this thing is really built and how much profit these people they'd probably around $3,740 profit I'm guessing

I felt bad making this video, especially after Kendon threatened me for talking about my experience in past videos. The problem is they sell through third "unvetted" dealers and they are responsible for getting the trailer put together and on the road. Trailers are not like cars. You can't just get them serviced anywhere.
