The statue in front of the Desert Caballeros Museum is of my grandpa and his quarter horse. Grandpa was a real cowboy and had a cattle ranch in Camp Verde, AZ. He lived into his nineties and, although being blind and deaf in is old age, he could still saddle and ride his horse

The good people of Wickenburg have done a fantastic job of presenting their city to the world, including the downtown areas and the museum! This should be an ‘All-American City’ (award) if not awarded already. Great leadership and civic pride. KUDOS!

My husband and I stumbled on Wickenburg accidentally and absolutely loved it. We came back one more time and I came back one more time after he died. The first time we came was after 9/11 and we were driving at night from Parker to Wickenburg. We saw some lights in the distance and rolled down our windows and heard some murmuring and muffled sounds, actually kind of spooky. We stopped and realized that people were running across America with a flag to complete the flight of the plane that was heading from New York to California. I think it's the one that crashed because the people took control. I got goosebumps and chills all over. It was silent except for the slapping of the feet on the asphalt. I still get chills and tears to this day.

Hey Russ! Thanks for the great tour of Wickenburg. The museum was great even though you were concerned about the lighting. It seemed like spring up here in Bloomington, IL, as the temp here was 72 degrees. Unusual for this time of year, but I'm not complaining. Enjoy your travels my friend! At 14:20 what appears to be a stagecoach. Just outside of Wickenburg a stagecoach like that was attacked by Indians. Inside the stagecoach was the grandfather of future 1964 Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater. The people in the stagecoach fought off the attackers, but I believe a couple died. The rest walked into town.
