@@metaphoria3 new fans don't buy pay-per-views. Not in arm wrestling or any other sport. Pay-per-views are purchased by hardcore fans like us. Newbies watch the highlights on KZbin and then if they fall in love with the sport they also buy the pay-per-view. Rob is talking about a problem that doesn't exist.

For the record, i watch armwrestling since EvW 2,so technically the show succeeded in drawing newcomers. And i have never bought a PPV in my life before EvW 2. Yet along staying to watch a show that long. I have many hobbies including E sports, and even for majors Tournaments in E sport i sometimes dont watch it all. EvW is truly special, and i dont believe RVJ comment about the duration about the event is accurate. I don't mind watching for long hours and im new to the sport.

RVJ sounds bitter and miserable. That much is clear. Fans who buy the PPV love getting more when it's the highest quality of competition. It's the best value for money out there. So more is absolutely better in this case. Anybody complaining about the length is either extremely jealous of East vs West or does not know how the pause and play controls work. If this is not reaching new fans, how come they keep selling more PPVs each event? 🤦🏽‍♂The guy needs to stop worrying about the job of the promoters and start working on becoming relevant again as an athlete.

I get what robs talking about being long matches, but what I always do. I ordered the pay-per-view then I wait about three hours. Then start watching it. So I can skip past all the stuff I don’t need to see. By the time I get to live. It’s probably on the last match lol. So as a viewer, I like it a lot

I think Alex is gonna make a statement and destroy Artyom. When Alex stayed with D a couple years back D was very very impressed with him and often on podcasts he would mention Alex and that he was a sleeping giant. Seeing some of these people say they can watch 7 hours of grown men touching each other is quite embarrassing as a man!! I really like this sport… BUT!! RVJ has a very good point. matches are routinely 30+. And the key to match making is to find an even match. That can go back and forth… so he’s right. Too many matches. And the few that will watch it for 7 hours. Is totally outweighed by ones who won’t!! You want to grown the sport right?? Well don’t bore the public. Get to the big names FASTER!!
