I purchased a HELIO O3 last Spring in Salem, OR. I really like this little unit. Last year I had a Winnebago 22RBSS that was brand new. It leaked several times and resulted in thousands of dollars of damage that was not repaired by Winnebago. I decided then I'd look for a smaller RV that I could take anywhere and pull with a small truck that would be as LEAK RESISTANT as possible. This Helio is a great little unit. It's been on several camping trips since last June 2020 when I bought it and it's performed flawlessly. Here in Seattle it rains constantly and so far, she's been as dry as a bone inside! It's also light enough to be towed by and SUV, I formerly pulled it with a Subaru Outback Turbo but I sold that and now I pull it with a new Ford Ranger with the ECOBOOST engine. My Ranger can pull 7500 pounds but this unit tops out at 1700 pounds FULLY loaded and full of water and supplies so I don't even feel it behind me. I use a CURT wireless brake controller since the HELIO comes with electric brakes. No brake controller needed in the tow vehicle and it works great. I've pulled it over several mountain passes on my way to Yellowstone in Montana and the brakes worked flawlessly and smoothly with plenty of smooth and steady braking power. It comes with an on board toilet (the O3) but the shower is an outdoor shower (that works best for me since I'm almost six foot three and wouldn't be comfortable in a small bath/shower combo). I typically don't use the on board flush toilet since I am almost always at a campground or I am boondocking with access to an alternative toilet. I really like this little trailer! It's great for my partner and I and our small dog. We get a lot of inquiries when we show up at a campground. Lots of curious questions from other RV folks. When it comes to RV and camping....smaller is EASIER! It's so nice not to be locked into a heavy tow vehicle or not to be constrained by a space that's too small for a huge 26 foot trailer. I love the freedom this affords us to camp anywhere! It's super comfortable to sleep in and there is plenty of room for two people. I started a Facebook page for the HELIO trailer users if you're interested you can go to FB and search for it.

nice trailer and they are making it exactly how i would want one. not everybody will want one that way but i sure do. no water leaks so you get to use it not fix it like some flimsy designs. thanks for making them hope you do well selling them too damn it’s like i special ordered a trailer in my own philosophy. ideas i don’t care what it looks like as long as it’s not going to fall apart cause some seem leaked and why do people want things bolted to the roof that’s where the leaks start. has a bed and a can. that’s all i need to replace hotels when traveling

There’s many pros to this the Marine/aircraft industry structure is absolutely fantastic. There’s a couple things that would definitely need changing in my opinion and there’s some high end and low end such as the outdoor light the bathroom light being incandescent not LED the latch for the outside storage should be magnetic, and last the tube for the sewer hose bad place, you’ll hit that easy even if the axle is adjusted. I will say I like the fit and finish especially under the trailer where the discharge is it’s has an appearance that it wasn’t just slammed together, like American made RV’s. This RV has a lot of potential and I like it.

I bought an Helio O3 in Salem, OR and I really enjoy it. INCREDIBLE construction, very lightweight, the quality is excellent. I have created a Facebook page for HELIO RV owners. Just search Facebook for HELIO. This is an excellent RV. I have owned several RVs in my lifetime and I'm VERY excited about this one. I live in Seattle where there are very heavy rains for many months of the year and almost every RV I have owned has leaked at one time or another. Hopefully, this RV will be less prone to leaking with the fiberglass molded and epoxy resin caulk less seams. The company has been very responsive with any questions I have. I highly recommend this trailer!

I love it, best lightweight camper. Its a bit expensive but well worth it IMO. Its light enought to be towed by a honda civic. Very smart designers at Helio. Thank you Air Force guy & Jean-fransua Helio guy for in-depth review 👍
@TheAirForceGuy4 жыл бұрын
Not sure about it being towed with a Honda Civic. They are only rated for 1,000 lbs. Take into consideration that it has a cargo capacity of only 850 lbs. With a tow rating of only 1,000 lbs. the tongue weight will be limited to only 100 lbs as well. Be safe out there!

love what they are doing with the construction as far as lightness goes but I would be sooooooooo claustraphobic in that thing! in america we are asking for more and more windows not less.

How insulting that Paul can not use the Helio representative's true name. Displaying a true disrespect for culture and language. In the same breath that Paul makes up a name for the representative, he suggest the viewers listen well because of the accent. SO ignorant, blatant discrimination. WTF?? So shocking!! Portable AC? Really? This is only because its main market is CA. Don't need AC as much up there. But in North America this needs to be built in on the top or in a cabinet with ducts. If they want to sell these in North America they will need a fixed AC and a front window. This is way too dark inside. I do like the European designs. I think Nucamp will start making the UK bare foot. That has all the quality but much nicer then this. More open floor plan.
