These trailers are very well made. My guess is the reason they are a tad over priced is the additional cost of the fiberglass box. Molds are extremely expensive. I am very excited to see the Roamer X. My guess with the new mystery dual axel suspension will make the rig to heavy for me personally but no problem for the 3/4 ton truck crowed. I know with all the trailers you sell it's hard to get the specs 100% correct. 2,900 pounds dry with 200 pound toung weight seems a bit light on tongue weight. So this model only had one 10 pound propane tank. (Not enough). With all the options one can add to this exact build it have to weight 3,400 dry. Do they have a way to bump up the 3,500 pound gwr? Totally loaded with all options no way a Wrangler could handle this trailer

Yep, they normally weight between 1800 - 2200lbs. The unit they are showing does not weigh 2900lbs. More like 2000.

@mtnclimbbike you have to be right as the math just doesn't add as they offer 500-700 pounds of options. One question on chassis. When I first saw it the tubing seemed small with minimal cross members. Wondering if it may be a thicker gauged tube. Also it seemed coated. Not galvanized or powder coated but coated with something else. Any idea if chassis are built in house?

@@bartman1857 HAT Co does build them in house. It is .120 wall steel which is powder coated. They also build the ladders and swing arms in house. Not sure where Shane got the 16,000lbs the frame can handle. The website says 7,000lbs.

@mtnclimbbike he was probably getting the numbers from one of his knowledgeable sales coaches 😉 Not sure what 16,000 pounds or 7,000 pounds even means as the trailer is rated to 3,500 lb gwr.

I cringe every time you say it's a one-piece trailer. That is false it comes in two pieces you can clearly see the seem right down the middle of the trailer on the front. I have seen the High Altitude manufacturer video where one of the owners specifically says it's two pieces....

You are correct, it comes in two pieces. Once it is married together with the adhesive, it becomes one piece. If you were to try to pull it apart, the fiberglass would fail before the seam would. (Of course the force required to do so would be tremendous).

@@highaltitudetrailers2389 I would love it if guys would respond to your quotes on a trailer I was interested in. I also have a Gladiator and interested in your slide in camper. I have no idea what most of those ad ons are.
