Rwanda-backed M23 Rebels Seize Kanyabayonga Town In East DRC
“Kanyabayonga has been in the hands of the M23 since Friday evening,” the administrative official said, under condition of anonymity.
Kanyabayonga lies on the northern front of the conflict in North Kivu province, which has been rocked by violence since 2021 when the M23 (March 23 Movement) resumed its armed campaign in the region.

The congolese Tutsis had lived in peace with neighbouring tribes until kagame brought the Hutu vs Tutsi conflicts to Congo when he was pursuing the Hutus after the 1994 genocide. This starts and can finish with Kagame. He is the aggressor and has always been the aggressor. Congo has no history of conflicts with tutsis or violence, we're a peaceful nation. we even took in Tutsis refugees in the early 60's if I am not mistaken. Kagame is not interested in the ethnic conflicts. He pretends to be a freedom fighter but he is just using M23 to exploit Congo's resources. It doesn't take a genius to work that out. The congolese government has never denied congolese Tutsis their freedom so what freedom are they fighting for. Read M23's demands and see if it has anything to do with freedom.

I think DRC president Tshishekedi, need to remove John Pierre Bemba from the Ministry of Defence coz Pierre Bemba was a long time Museveni Pupet during the Congo war of 2000s. Museveni, was the one supplying Bemba with armed to overthrow Kabila as their relation was detorating with Kabila therefore since Bemba being put as Congo minister of Defence with the new formed government m23 are gaining strength. since m23 are sponsored and supervised by Museveni and Kagame.
