The references to the canon DC comics via the ring and bottlecap, the knowing that Blake wrongfully really does blame herself for all the hurt cause to those around her, and seeing herself as the problem even though she isn't at all. She deserves the world and its part of why any time I see people take shots at her it makes my blood boil. She's an amazing and flawed character. Just glad she found her sunny dragon to pierce the dark clouds so that she can be happy.

So what's the deal with the ring and the bottle cap?

@@colt1903 So basically during Beacon era Blake and Yang went to a club together on a not-a-date-date where they each get a bottle and naturally a bottle cap from them which Blake holds onto to serve as a memory of that time; which Blake holds onto. FF to v4-5 time after everything went on at the Fall of Beacon, Yang being separated from her, Blake being VERY depressed, and her mind going to Yang & the mix of nightmare of & guilt about Adam. She talks with her mom about a faunus folklore of a faunus princess who was in love with a human noble where the princess gave him a ring from carved from a seashell as a symbol of her love as he went off to battle while Kali alludes to Yang (after a chapter before that ended with Yang thinking how she wanted to write a story together with Blake during her rehabilitation arc). Blake and Kali catch a big fish directly afterwards and cook it, then while going to eat it Blake finds a bottle cap looking section within the food. She brushes it off expecting it to be the bottle cap, but instead its a ring and she says "the one....that came back.". Meanwhile a chapter or two later Yang finds a bottle cap on a sea shore; while Blake is shown wearing the ring.

Also kinda depressing cuz damn that's the kind of shipping fuel that needs to be in the show instead of supplemental content like the comics and what not that have questionable canonicity at best. Hopefully if or when VIZ reboots the show we get moments like that actually included in the show itself. I wanna like Bumblebee as a canon ship, but as things stand it just doesn't hit for me. RT fumbled it too much. Should rename the shit RT gave us to Fumblebee instead. Meanwhile the fanfic authors write that good shit for us, that's where the Real Bumblebee comes from. 😂

@@colt1903 Um no its not because its side things not relevant to the main story happening. Supplemental content is supposed to be for elaborating on things the main story is too busy for. Also there is no questionable canonicity, its been directly stated that the v4-5 comics ARE CANON. Um no the fuck they aren't going to reboot shit. One doesn't buy and keep involved original creatives like Kerry of an IP to not continue it; nor does the FNDM at large want that shit; which Viz is well damn aware of. I don't really give a rat's ass if it "hits for you", that's a YOU problem not a show problem. Many of us within the LGBT+ bracket LOVE BB and would tell ones like you to fuck off. While fanfic writers are fine and good, they're just that FANFIC writers that are in it for one thing without carrying on the core story or maintaining a natural progression & non-making BB the central focus of the story. Not even going into ones that deviate away from characterization to facilitate that. The scene given to BB in v9 easily is better than anything in fanworks period in general and in terms of it actually being canon.

Subscribed cause this is amazing!! Haven’t watched RWBY after V4 I think but this is just so well done and definitely a fitting song for Blake Belladona!! The one with Blake sinking in water is my favorite cause it’s just so filled with emotion and a perfect visual to show how low she thinks of herself.

I don't tend to comment like ever but I saw this and was instantly in love with it. Blake is by far my favorite character in RWBY and you explained her perfectly with both the song and animatic. I love the addition of the DC comics. I've watched a lot of Blake AMVs and this one has instantly become my favorite above all others. I literally don't think there are words to describe how much I love this. I will be re-watching it so many times I can tell because again its done so perfectly. I love Blake and you showed off her flaws and growth so neatly and I just AHHHHHH. 1billion out of 10!

Dude I just realized the red of the blood of Yang and Blake's wounds at the end of vol.3 could represent the red string of fate! When Blake was holding onto Yang after the battle with one hand, and the other hand on her own wound, it came to me! Call me crazy, but I think even that was foreshadowing that they'd end up together.💛🖤
