I always saw this coming after season 2 when they had the dancing and the scene later in the series when they stood together as one against Adam I could tell they were in love but hadn’t realised it at that point they had perfect chemistry in the series

I realized it was that scene with this video and I'm ashamed I didn't notice the chemistry until midway through season 5. I saw the card of a video after searching "RWBY" on KZbin saying that bumblebee/bumbleby is forced and I don't agree with it; it took more than *six years* to make the relationship official after bmblb was released, which was in the credits of season 4. RWBY is a genius show and did the open-ended conclusion thing really well. I hope we get more RWBY after this but episode 10, volume 9 is so well written that it's no problem if we don't.

Recently I started watching RWBY, and honestly my favourite part of it was Yang and Blake, not just the friendship and relationship between the two, but them as characters, I somewhat relate with Yang in terms of her hotheadedness and abandonment issues, and I also kind of relate to Blake's initial trust issues at the beginning of the series. Both of them have been well written all throughout each volume, and their relationship and how it evolved over the course of the series has been really well done in my opinion. I don't get why people hate this ship, it isn't forced and I wouldn't say it was done just for inclusion sake, but you can't make everybody happy sadly, anyways this video was really well done

I agree with you that it's strange that people hate this ship because it's been at least six years after bmblb was put into the credits of volume 4 and only this year for only (four? I don't know the exact number of the episode) episodes it's been verbally confirmed.

@@Amethyst_Topaz Its either people just wanting something to hate, or because they thought it was forced, even though its been pretty well done in terms of how long it took for it to reach the point that it has, it didn't take place in just one volume, it spanned over almost every single volume, with a lot happening in between main events of this ship, I personally love it

Yang x Blake wasn’t something that started from the beginning. They didn’t even have that much screen time together-and I mean just the two of them together-in the first three volumes. It was just that they were partners and that Blake cared for her as a close friend by the end of V3. From the start, it was Blake x Sun that was planned; at the very least hinted to. Yang x Blake didn’t become more of a thing until V6. Now, as someone who hasn’t invested too much time into the show, I won’t say the Bumblebee ship is what ruined the show. I’ve heard way more valid complaints about the show rather than Bumblebee. The most I’ve heard about the Bumblebee ship was that it wasn’t set up or fleshed out properly. Though one major complaint of the ship is that they made Yang’s character more just being concerned/head over heels for Blake in the later volumes, and part of resulting flaw from it is that we don’t end up seeing Yang be sisters with Ruby. We’ve been told time and again that they’re sisters, but they barely hang out with each other; just the two of them. And now when one of them gets hurt or seemingly dies (such as Yang falling down into the ever after in V8) neither of them show the proper emotional response. When Yang fell, Ruby should have had a reaction as similar as Blake’s, but she didn’t. And back in V4, Yang’s whole mission was to find Ruby and make sure she’s safe, but after V5 Yang doesn’t spend much personal time with her at all. So while I won’t say the Bumblebee ship ruined the show, it definitely wasn’t set up correctly; nor was it properly balanced alongside the other characters. Though I do think Bumblebee would have more impact if Yang was distant and cross with Blake during V6, considering Blake abandoned her at the end of V3 and that Yang was absolutely bitter and depressed about it.

@@merrickwolf0293 They can say it was planned all they want, that doesn’t change there was next to nothing hinting to them getting together in the first 5 volumes. People have already pointed out how flawed RT has been in trying to set the Bumblebee ship up in the past volumes. Them saying it was planned is just them trying to save face with how they went about it. Also, you’ll have to give a source for where Monty supposedly said this is a relationship he planned for/tried to set up. If it came from someone else, I’ll find the source’s reliability to be doubtful.

All I said was that Blake x Sun was the ship initially set up in first 5 volumes while Yang x Blake wasn’t. I even told you that I’d find the Yang x Blake ship to have more impact if Yang was distant and cross with Blake during V6. That’s not me hating the ship, that’s me saying how the ship would flow better. RT could definitely do the Yang x Blake ship if they want to, but they have to set it up properly, something they didn’t do at all. You can say I’m complaining about the ship all you want. I’m criticizing a show’s writers for not knowing how to properly set up a new relationship. They can decently set up Nora x Ren, since that was there from the start. But when it came down to setting up Yang x Blake, a ship they only starting working on during V6, it was nothing but completely rocky writing. They wanted to please the Yang x Blake fans without truly knowing to organically flesh it out. It’s not a bad thing to try and please fans, but there’s a right way to do it in order to make it organically work other than just for the sake of pure fan service.

Make Yang and Ilia male it becomes fairly common romance plot with the conflicting first pairing the typical winning pair following first pairing win trend. First or last pair win are the more common plots. It the Bisexuality of Blake that throws people. Couple meet and there are no alternative ships in the path fairly rare in romance plot lines. To answer those who still can't see it even with voice actor comments with proof examples. And coincide if it did not sell you that fine people are different and bias can make some blind to clues they don't like. I came into RWBY this year having heard over and over that Monty's plot abandoned so that way my bias leaned. But it so clear after watching 1-2 and the songs in 1-2 that the story is following Monty's plot outline. Saying his replacements did not do it well can be argued it a valid opinion although I disagree. And Ironwood typical real life future dictator I pegged that first episode he was in but I have read and watched stuff on real history on how people say the future dictator was like and it fit, Plus Ironwood matches the classic Greek Tragic Hero story. I rather like RWBY Monty was irreplaceable in fight set up no one in industry did them how he did them, they did not blow doing fights after that it just no one on staff or could be hired to replace Monty. And if it was his dialog in 1-2 you can say he did that better. But the over all plot and mood is Monty.

I've had my little moments where the thought of Ruby and Oscar has been cute, especially in volume 6-7 while Ozpin was gone and Oscar was on his own. But once Ozpin came back...idk man, it makes me feel weird. Which is a shame because when it's just the two of them, it's cute! Two awkward bumbling teens with the weight of the world on their shoulders, each with a unique burden that none of the others can really understand (Silver Eyes, and Ozpin Reincarnation)...there's something poetic there, y'know???
