Yeah, it was a coincidence that there were two drivers racing at the same time on the same tracks with those particular names. Unlike the actress literally named Ruby Rose, which I’m sure made the character’s name entirely intentional. Both Lloyd and Ebb were well-known Indianapolis 500 drivers. Lloyd Ruby’s best finish was in third place. Ebb Rose, meanwhile, could only muster 14th. Still, I think it’s safe to say that they were *both* better drivers than Ruby.
