And likely alienating viewers in the process. Which will mean less word of mouth advertising to increase traffic to an out-of-the-way website. What do they actually lose by also uploading episodes to KZbin on a delayed schedule? They can continue to advertise their own website, continue to direct traffic there for "early" views, continue to make the same profit they are with their current business model. They wouldn't be losing any significant time or effort by uploading to KZbin eventually. Ironically, making the ads to direct traffic to their site has cost some level of time/money investment. Seems a bit counterproductive. But they could still upload it eventually after the episodes have gotten their initial surge and have generated the majority of the profit they ever will.

Its unfortunate, because even though they say you watch it for free you have to subscribe in order to watch them on the day of release meaning if Volume 6 is going this route you have to avoid spoilers for an entire week before some folks can actually see the episode, and we live in a time where people spoil stuff immediately because they assume everyone saw the episode at the same time as they did. but don't mind me, just ranting right now

I don't see why not just upload thumbnails when the episode is out, since KZbin seems to only care about the video uploads, instead violating the rules before the complete shift has been made... just saying. KZbin could just pull the plug on all the channels just by association. But rebel against system prior the shift is done, meanwhile still trying to milk it I guess.

If you do not know, it's *FREE*. A ROOSTERTEETH ACCOUNT IS FREE. You don't have to pay anything. Rooster teeth is a very big company and the Animation department is just as profitable as it is expensive. So it makes sense that they can't put all their eggs into the youtube basket because there is not enough money coming unless they start the video with "This is sponsored by..." or put more ads on videos. They could go with the youtube algorithm and be called a sellout by fans, but they did the opposite. They did their way. Where everyone can still watch and they still generate the revenue to animate, pay people, make videos and pay bills and expenses. People have lives. Life requires money. Money for food and houses and families. If you love these shows, you'll help the people who make them. Or in a couple of years, things will start to disappear. If not, stop complaining. *YOU DO NOT KNOW THE FULL STORY* You never will. Ok I'm done. I'm done ranting. Life is hard.

I think it's called flaming ashes. Also I personally think it would be pretty bad to bring back Pyrrah, she is the only dead (so far) protagonist so it adds to the "drama" in the story. Look, I realize that RT needs to make money and that’s likely why they are distancing from KZbin, but I always appreciated being able to watch RWBY and RWBY Chibi on my phone. I thought that it was awesome of RT to make such a great show so easy to access. I find their site to be hard to access as I am visually impaired, and I won’t ask for a change as it would ruin their aesthetic. KZbin and to a lesser degree Netflix are my go-to apps for videos and it makes me sad that I can’t listen to the shenanigans of new episodes of Chibi anymore without struggling with their site. I respect their choice but I can’t help but be disappointed in these “sneak peeks”
