You guys do remember Amber the Fall Maiden being taken down by three people right so its definitely possible

And Amber was probably ever so slightly more experienced than Penny. So her getting overwhelmed is not at all surprising.

At this point, Penny might only have been a Maiden for as little as 2 hours or so. The sun rises in V7C12, Penny gets the Maiden power in V7C13, and it's still that morning.

The guy with the arms is Vine, not Elm. Also, in the case of Nora, in the fight with Hazel, yes she absorbed electricity. But remember, Atlas is held up and powered by the staff of creation so in this episode, Nora wasn't just absorbing electricity but the staff's power as well. I think that's why it had more of an effect on her and it was harder for her to handle - it's not just energy, but magical energy in addition.

I'm sure by this point you've either done your research properly or just don't care but. You guys are misinformed. Miles Luna (not Kerry Shawcross) is the voice of Jaune and he left RT w/o forgoing his position as a writer for RWBY. So RWBY will still have Miles as Jaune and a writer.

The theme song grew on me, I disliked it at first but I watch a bunch of reactors and over time it grew on me. Definitely not my favorite but it's ok. Miles Luna left Rooster Teeth, but is still willing to voice Jaune Arc.

I really don't see the inconsistency in the fight scenes. Penny isn't used to facing that many skilled operatives who know her capabilities inside and out, and doesn't have a full grasp of the usage of her maiden powers yet. Monty left them a framework. I don't think you have ANYTHING to be concerned about as far as a LOST situation; there's an ending point, it's just a matter of how they get there. Yes, you've had people leave. Arryn and Kara have left RT for a while, but are still voicing their characters. Yeah, Miles has moved on to other things, but he didn't get fired; he chose to leave, and he had moved a lot of the writing duties to Kerry and to Eddy Rivas. I don't think you're going to see him stop voicing Jaune unless something goes seriously wrong. Plus now they are way ahead on the writing; the writing for Volume *9* is already done per Eddy Rivas's comment on one of the RT shows the other week. I had a few issues with the story in this episode. Pietro's credentials should no longer have worked inside the military base. The whole "spilled coffee" bit annoyed me a lot; it's the same mechanic they used last volume with Whitley and I didn't like it then, and liked it less now. It was a lazy way to get around it. And Watts hacking into Penny... we all know how much of a disaster that's going to cause. Ironwood is an idiot. Even though this volume is happening over only two days in universe, it does look like it is going to significantly advance the plotline and the storylines along. I just don't see that it is going to be in a good direction.

Just throwing it out there that the only reason they had to go through the central command center was because they wanted to add that scene. Could have just as easily not written it so that they had to go through a crowded area in the first place, or even avoided having May have issues removing through that with her Semblance. It wasn't really that important to begin with.
@TenebrousFilms4 жыл бұрын
Penny's talking out of her recharge socket, molecules are what give all matter mass. I'm also surprised that Penny is remotely accessible after what happened at Beacon, and Watts being behind it, and Ironwood having Watts, and all. At least now we know why Watts didn't hack Penny in Amity or Mantle, he can only manipulate his own code... which, technically, isn't even hacking.

The main inconsistencies with this fight come from them not using the Ace-Ops powers correctly in general. From the beginning of the fight Marrow should’ve froze Penny, Vine/Elm holds her down, and Harriet with her you know super speed restrains Penny with cuffs. Quick and easy. I get they want fight scenes but I think somethings should just happen without a spectacle. Just to show the direness of situations.

It's Monty Oum's "Rule of Cool." He would put things in the show simply because they were cool; they didn't have to make sense.

I figured the Ace Ops could probably win a 4v1 against Penny. If you remember Cinder, Emerald and Mercury beat Amber without too many issues. Amber was still relatively new to her powers, but she had had them for much longer than Penny has; Penny's had them for like, maybe 24 hours or so. And, personally, I thought Ironwood had lost it when he murdered Oscar (a child). Now, I get it, Oscar survived, but Ironwood doesn't know that yet. And his intent was to kill him, regardless of the result. So really, that was when Ironwood "lost it."

What are you talking about... Penny should have been able to hold her own? Amber... who had years more experience as a Maiden... lost to three people that had only just started working together. Penny has had her powers for what... a day if that... against a four man team that has trained together for years. Not to mention Marrow's semblance against one person is broke as hell. You guys play D&D. Tell me what happens when your group goes up against a single creature that fails its Hold Monster save?

Ok, you had me with the D&D reference. I had an argument until then. Now what you are saying is starting to make some sense for me.

Penny could have easily taken them -- if she'd wanted to kill them. When she's not using lethal force, she's not that great of a fighter. She was getting handled pretty well by Pyrrha alone. Each member of the Ace Ops is probably equivalent of one Pyrrha, and Team RWBY taught the Ace Ops to start working together, so that gave them a boost. Also, I'm finding a significant urge to turn that subscribe button red again. Yeah, a few minutes more of your bs and I unsubbed.
@billsutherby4 жыл бұрын
And the Maiden powers are not much of a factor since Penny hasn't had them for much more than a day so far. She would have no idea how to use them effectively in combat. Cinder, Emerald and Mercury pretty much manhandled Amber and while she was presumably the youngest of the Maidens, she still had practice with the powers.
