Rewatching when i saw Velvet walk in I just knew they wouldn't disappoint Volume 1 bullied as a background character Volume 2 we get to see her team Volume 3, WE SEE HER WORK

Jeff Williams is the guitarist and sings in some of the songs, his voice is a bit higher than Lamar. Lamar raps in some of the songs but I think he probably helped produce this- idk I didn't hear him im this.

Velvet isn't really a Deus Ex Machina. A Deus Ex Machina is when a solution to a seemingly impossible problem comes out of nowhere. But Velvet's powers and abilities were hinted at at the end of Volume 2, and later when Velvet was "practicing her photography". It seemed like a throwaway scene where Velvet was revealed to have a hobby that she wasn't that great at, but go back and look at the photo she took of Sun Wukong. The weapons were in focus, not Sun himself. It's clear she was deliberately taking a photo of Sun's weapon to store up for later.

"Seemingly Impossible Problem": The Paladins. Thing is, It can be argued as such Because the hints we received are exactly that: hints. While you are correct, what, with the the Photography scene and all, the fact stands that, the Members of Team RWBY (and fans who somehow missed the hints) were unaware, and as such, the solution to a seemingly impossible situation did come out of nowhere. Due to this, it can be argued that it was indeed a Deus Ex Machina. So, Yeah, you're not at all wrong, but i believe i can still argue that it is (Somewhat) a Deus Ex Machina, continuity-wise... I'll Give ya credit, you sure as hell are more perceptive than me though lol :)
