I wonder if Ruby's memories may have intertwined with Little, when they both ascended. That could be how Somewhat knew Ruby was a Huntress? That would be hilarious, if Somewhat leads the Remnant resistance against Salem, and goes Captain America wielding Mjolnir on Salem. :)

I don't think we'll see SomeWhat during the Vacuo Arc, if they do show up it's more likely to happen when our heroes return to Beacon for the final battle against Salem. Though I would love to see SomeWhat and Neo leading a small army of Afterans against the Grimm like in Avengers: End Game. Maybe wielding Penny's sword too, reforged to fit their size of course.

Somewhat has always given me Reepicheep vibes. I might be off some details, but a key similarity I found between the two is that both Somewhat and Reepicheep have a faint memory or information of another realm; Somewhat in the form of recalling the word and concept of "Huntress" and Reepicheep remembering the lullaby about the Utter East/Aslan's country that a dryad sang to him as a child. Reepicheep eventually ends travels to the Utter East/Aslan's country, so Somewhat may also end up traveling to Remnant while pursuing the life and meaning of a "Huntress." Reepicheep is also one of the main reason why Eustace, who was fairly obnoxious priss at the beginning, turns out better, so Somewhat might also help with Neo/Trivia become a better person. This is a movie only detail as I recall, but Reepicheep described Eustance as a "magnificent puzzle," and I think that fits Neo/Trivia quite well too. This is just my headcanon though. Who knows ?

I think Jaune's impact on the Ever After should not be overlooked, he was the one who spent the longest time in the Ever After and he only went to the Paper Pleasers after Alyx left him, before Alyx came to the Ever After, Jaune was there for decades, waiting for Team RWBY and his map showed that he visited 13 acres, not including the tree itself, while the girls only visited 4 acres home to the hunter mice, crimson castle, garden, paper pleaser and the Jabberwalker/Neo's mansion. Team RWBY made more enemies than friends, but I think the opposite would be true for Jaune. The Rusted Knight was the 'Hero' in the Girl Who Fell Through the World, and nearly everyone knows who he is on Remnant, and that's a second hand account, imagine his impact on the lives of the inhabitants of the Ever After, and how they will come to repay him for all his help.

I must admit, my interpretation of his time exploring and mapping the Ever After is that it only truly started after the Paper Pleasers helped him, since it seems to me that until Alyx and Lewis arrived he didn't move far from that beach/acre in the years leading up to that, seemingly not even meeting anything mentioned in the story such as the Hunter Mice who lived on that same acre, and only realised he was in the Ever After/the story shortly following their arrival, and his exploration kicked into high gear with Juniper's speed to aid him, allowing him to do so at the (very) end of each multi-disaster-preventing day. And not to be cruel to Jaune, but aside from seemingly occasionally sparring with the Jabberwalker, I don't think there's any mention of him going out of his way to help many Afterans outside of the Paper Pleasers, and besides that, supervising just them is an all day schedule, leaving not much time for anyone else, even exploration and mapping and even if he did, if his helping them includes saving them from the Jabberwalker (which I would imagine is the primary way he can/would help), who knows how many may have had to ascend afterwards if that disrupted their purposes (since I can't imagine he would be able to stop them ascending with the Paper Pleasers already keeping his hands full on a daily basis), leaving no memories of the Rusted Knight to recall; after all, if the Genial Gems didn't remember him after being in his company every day for decades without break, why would any other ascended Afteran remember him?

It might be the case since Salem literilty has all of desturcion under her control (grimm pools from the Dark brother's domain) and might have to have the Afterens come in and help remnant assuming the people are still not divided by the final confrontation... As for Salem's Endgame defeat Jinn did say Salem is unkillable and it may be an option to force her to asend in the Everafter in order to stop her / Seal her, but we all can assume that is no east feat, let alone Cinder stil BSing her way back to Salem's inner circle

I Mean, If Other's from Remnant Can Go to The ever-after and then Exit outta it, I ALSO DO Believe that Some1 from the ever-after also can Go to Remnant. As Team RWBY Like you said Made a DAMN BIG Impact Upon the ever-after and also, who Knows Maybe cause of the Big impact they made on That Mystical world, Maybe that BIG Impact may have also done something, ANYTHING to alter its Magic. The gods are still going to reset/destroy the world even if humanity does actually come together, I just know it. Whether it’s because they had completely forgotten that Remnant even existed or because their egos are being challenged like when Salem tried getting Ozma back and they told her that crap of being ‘the balance,’ they’re going to find some way to Bogarde the whole situation. The God of Light might be kinder with how he behaves in front of humans, but he’s just a man child along with his brother. They’re no different than two arguing little brats who can’t decide how to stack their blocks and just decide to keep knocking them over.

I am curious if Jaune did leave such a good impression with the Gem People after all at first he was a client of theirs but after he's better he doesn't leave. On 1 hand they may be happy he protects them from outside threats. On the other hand they may be annoyed that they stopped them from ascending like they want to or even hear them out like RWBY did. On the third hand he rather insulted them when he shouted his views about the ever afterians and ascension in front of all of them and not addressing it with them afterwards. Which might also lead to them being annoyed. On the 4th hand (where are you getting these extra hands) he does try to tutor and help them where they currently at like helping the Paper pleaser Pyrahh with her homework

I highly doubt it since the blacksmith said the gate is for human/Faunus to leave and the gods return. So new neo sure but not somewhat. Hence why the cat couldn’t get through. Now if the gods return to the everafter and ask the tree hey can this go both ways. Then yes.

I think it might be because Afterans don't reproduce the way that we understand it in our world, if they can even reproduce at all. The creation of new beings might be only possible through the Tree and then each individual would go through ascension when they desire to be something new. We don't know for sure so it's only speculation but if that's the case then Afterans don't actually have a biological sex nor gender, so using they/them makes sense.

This is a pretty interesting theory and I can see it being possible but I think the line from Somewhat to Ruby about "Huntress," is more about Ruby. The whole volume Ruby was struggling with her purpose. Whenever the question "What are you?" was asked of her she didn't have a solid answer. It varied from girl, human, huntress, Ruby Rose. When Somewhat acknowledged Ruby as a "Huntress," it's meant as a solidification of Ruby's identity. I don't think it's necessarily the basis for Somewhat coming back, or even that Somewhat has connections to Remnant. Her connections to Remnant are team RWBY and Jaune, not the language she uses.

The only impact Jaune did in the ever after is if it wasn't for him the girl who fell through the world story wouldn't been made to be the girls guide but than there's the girl herself she wanted to make things right and fix her knight spirit and aged. (You think Jaune by next volume is done with being a knight? I think so.)

I kinda wished Little was a reincarnated Penny or Summer or Alyx. Hell, a living manifestation of Ruby's lost hope. Anything. To me, Little's character just feels kinda..... "there". They weren't completely fleshed out. Sure, they do try help guide Ruby's group through Ever After and they did heroically try to save Ruby but most of time they just sleep. I get the feeling the choices above were the directions RT wanted for Little but they got lost somewhere down the road thanks to the pandemic delays and behind-the-scenes dilemmas during those two years. And I really wouldn't be surprised if it was the case because why else would they trim V9 down to ten episodes.

I could maybe tolerate Neo coming back as Remnant is her home, and it would be a "I dont care if you win, i just dont want her to win" situation. And i think the part where Somewhat calls Ruby a huntress is a call back to eailer when Weiss, Blake, and Yang knew that they were Huntresses, but Ruby didn't know anymore. So now, Somewhat says it for her, that Ruby is a Huntress, 100%. And they just got done describing Somewhat, so its her turn
