Just as Weiss translates to "Snow White" from German Klien's full name translates to "Little Seven" so he represents all seven of the dwarves. This shows up as him having 7 different personalities, and when his personality changes so does his eye color.

- It's not really stated outright, but the Blake story line is set a few months ahead of the others. - 'Mr Devil Horns' was probably a goat faunus or such. - "Grimm Crystal Ball" is a pretty apt description.

6:13 a lot of returning disabled US Afghanistan & Iraq War veterans, particularly those who lost limbs in action, were really able to identify with Yang's arc in RWBY4. The PTSD, learning to use a prosthetic, the long road to recovery. They saw a lot of themselves in Yang's story and it helped them cope. Don't know if he's still active, but a KZbinr named Corporal Russo (USMC veteran) reacted to RWBY and talked about this a little in his videos.

Fun Facts Fact 1: Sun mentions leaving his team to go on a boat before. This is likely a reference to his first appearance in "The Stray". Fact 2: Sun also refers to accompanying Blake as a "journey to the east". This is a play on words referring to Journey to the West, the origin story of his namesake allusion. Fact 3: One of the pistons of the boat has the letters RT inscribed on it, a reference to Rooster Teeth. Fact 4: The music that plays while Blake is on the boat is called "Hey Guys - Turn the Boat Around, She Dropped Her Ribbon". Fact 5: While Yang watches television, a few news channels can be seen. They are based on the real American channels Fox News, ABC and CNN. Fox becomes Vox, ABC becomes VBC and CNN becomes VNN. Vox is also the name of a real channel in Germany, but not a news channel. VNN had previously appeared in "Ruby Rose" and "Beginning of the End". I have to say that this volume is going to bring some tension brewing when each character is going through trouble thoughts, feelings, and more till there be a light to shine some hope in them. I hope each character grows and gain strength to fight or feel joy like Sun is shining to make Blake feel some strength to see friends or lighten the mood. Also is it just me to notice that Bethany seem to getting more grumpy at the moment or she is deep in the series?

I hope I'm not too late or random to recommend anything but I think at some point you guys should try to give Yugioh the Abridged Series by LittleKuriboh a chance. Most people don't give the earliest parts of it a chance due to it's age but I personally see it as a historical piece of art that's worth watching, and TFS helps LittleKuriboh out with it for a season.

Some say nothing happens this chapter but in fact Alot of character development happens in this one. Anywho foreshadowing of the day - Did she kill Ospen? Also keep Suns advice about the White Fang in mind.

Its probably best to see Tai as the dad that means well but doesnt know how to do well. Youll see later but he says some things at points that contradict the character that was built behind Yang. Its only positive is that i can say it nerfs her going forward for at least a season and a half. This is the guy that did nothing but shut down and do nothing since Summer never came back btw. Ice queendom is a retelling and addon to the first season that i think gives a lot more character to a lot of characters like Tai and Whitley especially which confirms his meanings in later volumes. But it also addresses peoples gripes about Yang not being there for her sister at every beck and call. Despite her being there since day one in the main show but encouragong her to not rely on her sister. Hell my brother never tried supporting me for everything we just talked when we related on something or if it really mattered. Yang is just the wxtreme of the sister that loved a lot despite being so broken and now her world is shattered. She has no reason for a mask now. When she becomes happy again ittll be for herself. Not for others.

My two favorite side characters in the series are the shop keeper and the ship captain, from this episode. Also the scene where Sun throws Blake, is likely inspired by Final Fantasy. Many of the cast and crew at Rooster Teeth including the creator are huge anime fans, specifically Final Fantasy. If you guys are interested, the RWBY books by E.C. Meyer are very good and fill in some of the gaps the show doesn’t explain very well. The Fairytales of Remnant is a collection of the fairytales they discuss in the show. Most of the book is told from Ozpin’s point of view. The writers do a very good job at approaching certain aspects of the show that potentially could be done very poorly, one that you have started to see is how Yang handles loosing her arm. RT, specifically the cast and crew, take those types of challenges very seriously and personally. I say personally because many times someone or several of the staff have experienced that particular situation or known someone who did; sometimes it’s an ongoing issue, such as Neptune being afraid of water. His voice actor is actually afraid of water.

Oh Yang, my poor baby. I appreciate Tai’s gesture here but that’s really something you need to discuss with the person before just springing it on them. Cool Sea Grimm. I can’t remember it’s name off the top of my head but it’s still really cool. And this is where one of my big complaints of the volume start. Sun. Oh sweet sweet Sun. Man I cannot stand him this volume. I know I’m gonna get some crap for this one. It’s just really weird to me that they had him dawn a cloak and stalk her. It’s be one thing if she saw him and then he just was like “hey whoa wait I’m just here because I’m worried” but no, the only reason he didn’t literally follow her all the way home was because of the Grimm. Like for someone who’s as traumatized and paranoid as Blake that was the dumbest thing they could have had Sun do. And he came because he thought she was gonna go on a rampage against the WF and he wanted in. Like… ugh. It’s so frustrating because a couple tweaks and it’d be fine. I’m not going to argue that Blake maybe needed a friend with her but the execution is rough. And all this is just my personal grievance it’s cool if you guys like it it just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah Tai did plan to do that regardless. It's a gesture of love, but he didn't take into consideration Yang's feelings about what *she* wants for herself and the future of her arm. But even if he hadn't decided to get an arm for his daughter, as he said James was already on the case of making it so it would have arrived at that point in time regardless. Though Tai could have told Yang so she'd know what was coming and have time to digest the idea. Still if she was in a different mind state (i.e. how we've known her to be up until the fall of Beacon) making it a surprise could be the coolest thing possible to do, like I get where that thought comes from. Just wasn't the right way for her now. The Grimm is a Sea Feilong, and it's not a widespread fanon name yet but her name is Diane. I agree Sun is pretty obnoxious in this volume. He fulfils a role, but... he's being very, very Sun about it.

@zebezd Yeah, no, that’s what I meant. He should have least checked to see where Yang was mentally about the possibility of a prosthetic before springing it on her. I know Ironwood was already working on it but Tai could have checked. But regardless, I understand that he was just trying to help in this case. Yep! I know it was something along those lines. I got the Sea Fei part. Oh Sun… like I don’t hate the guy but this volume he hits a particular nerve that he just won’t stopping jumping on.

You know I always see people saying this but no one has ever brought proof of this being the case. All it ever sounds like is people being whiny and nitpicky because black sun didn't sail. Do I think the canon ship was well written? Irrelevant. Yet the BB shippers always seem to have actual wording from the creators proof, that whether it was well done or not, was not influenced by their bs, while the ones that speak the way you do only have; it was better developed as a counter point. Show proof of your accusation or quit spreading toxic misinformation. If you just don't like their choice to go BB instead, then state it as such. p.s. I was not a fan of how it went down either, but I am not going to spread false information.

I think they were trying to make it realistic. Unfortunately a lot of people in real life push friends away and are absolutely terrible to them when they are hurting.

@@jessc.994Sun is one of my favorite characters, but he was following her. She might be remembering how Adam (indirectly) followed her to Beacon, and how that ended with a friend getting hurt (even though in this chapter, the friend who could get hurt is the person following her)

I think we should try to understand that Blake has always been really scared of hurting others with her past and the moment she opened up about it, It came back to haunt her with Adam attacking Blake and cutting off Yangs arm. It’s going to take her time to accept help from others especially Sun who’s been kinda stalking her atp lol ik he has good intentions but think of it with her pov

I feel Blake is perfectly justified in how she reacts to Sun. So many reactors seem fed up with her reactions, but think about it. We've seen a bit of Adam's personality thus far. He's controlling and obsessive. It's easy to imaine he followed and stalked her numerous times in the past, which would make her extremely offended and upset at the thought of being followed again.
