I had mentioned that this song felt out of place on the Volume 4 Soundtrack because their weren't any interactions between Yang and Blake in the entire Volume. Then I was told that this song is probably the one that Jeff added as an apology for when he was injured delaying the release date for the soundtrack a month ago. I'm not a Bumblebee fan but this is a good song.

Also, how do I restore comments?* If it's not a troll and this is about the actual ship, Bumblebee, then this has gotta be from Yang's perspective, I remember a line from "Armed and Ready" saying something like "I would do anything for her" or something to that extent. So, yeah, Bumblebee half-confirmed. HALF. I'm okay with this, since 1. honestly what are the goddamn odds they're both gay and b. the Black Sun and BB shippers have to reach some sort of compromise lmao

They've never done a "troll" before and I don't see why they would this time during Pride month no less, knowing how badly that'd backfire on them (this isn't threatening but pointing out an obvious thing). And they aren't malicious towards lgbt, despite what seems to keep being the impression certain sections of the viewerdom present about them. Also there's no doubt about what this is about, since the song is very clear. Its likely the most blatant and clear love song with characters involved also being clear. Only taking this as Yang's perspective doesn't explain the "And you’ve chased away my darkness and gloom" and "My doubts disappear everytime that you’re near" lines which line up with Blake as she's the gloomy and emotionally weighted one. 1. Not as low as you seem to be implying and Blake is likely either bisexual (which Arryn has mentioned that she herself sees her as) or pansexual. Even in our world with its heteronormative in place, more and more people are going into the idea of it being a spectrum rather than a hard locked in thing; Remnant going by past comments by RT/Monty (I can't remember who exactly) doesn't even have that baggage to worry about so would be even more likely to be spectrum-based. 2. Or both can stick to each of their songs and fellow shippers leaving the other side alone.

Anyways tbh I don't care how this inevitable love triangle ends up, it just seems like based off of interactions that Blake is leaning more towards Sun than Yang atm. And, ok, yeah, I can see the lyrics now that you mention it... I just assumed that was Yang still talking, but I can't really think of any "doubts", or "darkness and gloom" that Yang might have (before Volume 3 ofc). All that being said, I still think I prefer Bumblebee, something about it just seems right. After all, outside of Team JNPR those two seem to have the strongest relationship in the series. Just one little thing: everyone saying that it is definitely Blake because Belladonna is a flower, you do realise the cover of RWBY Volume 4 has flowers behind every girl and flowers were a main theme of the entire show (Ren with a lotus flower, all the Mistral villages being named after flowers, all the characters with roses like Adam and Summer)

That's the weakest point of the theory that it's about Blake, though. There's still the fact that "And you've chased away my darkness and gloom." and "My doubts disappear every time that you're near." don't sound like things Yang would say, who is the only character other than Blake associated with bees, as well as the fact that Casey actually subtly changes her voice when singing those lines, as if emulating a duet, actually points to the fact that Blake could actually be singing this WITH Yang.
