*Some more notes from the community!!* - Memory voltage should remain blank since 850 is an invalid number. On the other hand, Memory controller voltage can be set to 850. - We could have drove the undervolts further, just due to a couple of cards crashing too much we kept it at that range but we will lower the power draw when I am able too!

very nicely done my friend...i build this same rig about 10 times and one thing that will really cut cost is if you know how to use server psus and picos to really save you some money...advice i usually give people since they always want to get into mining when prices get crappy is buy hardware when everyone is fearful and sell it when everyone is being greedy...i bought 5700s in november and december of 2019 for 300usd per gpu and even bought some of the refurbs you got from newegg for 359. anything over 400 usd is totally not worth it and cutting costs when building one or ten of these units is a big factor on whether you will ROI sooner. power costs is another big factor as well. good gpu spacing and maybe a box fan or two will keep that memory cool and happy. like i said great video and explanation of things for anyone looking to get into this great money making hobby!

@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
Tomorrow's video should help you with that ;) and air cooling is completely fine! Gpu memory affects the dag size. So for example 4gb GPUs can no longer mine Ethereum properly due to its dag size exceeding 4Gb.

Hey there, So I have a 1200 silverstone PSU which only has 4 PCI-E 8pin connectors and 2 x 8 pin EPS connector. Judging by your video I should be able to power 4 x 5700xt off of the PCI connectors. But I will need a CPU to GPU adapter to power an extra 5700xt? Leaving one EPS for the CPU.
@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
Yes so in your case, if you have 6 gpus and you power 4 with cables. What you can do is use splitters and power 3 GPUs through 2 cables and then their risers can be powered with Molex! If you have an extra cpu slot then you can look into using cpu to gpu adapter, else I would do the strategy of 2 cables for 3 GPUs. Don't go over 2 risers on one molex cable though!
@foongtran4 жыл бұрын
@@MiningChamber Sorry could you clarify the 2 cables to 3 GPU strategy? I thought that it was not recommended to run multiple GPU from 1 PCI-E power supply? From What I understand, I have 4 x (8pin to 2 x 6+2 Pin) - Like this one www.amazon.com.au/COMeap-Adapter-Corsair-Modular-24-inch/dp/B07CZBZN5R. Are you saying that I can further split these?
@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
It isn't recommended for sure but If your short on cables (4 pcie cables and 6 GPUs) then your solutions are either buying 2 more cables and making sure your getting the right ones that are compatible with your psu or taking a non-recommended way (which means it's just not the best way to do it but still doable) and then powering 3 GPUs with 2 cables and their risers powered by molex. So you have a cable with 2x 8 pins. Get 1 splitter for each cable. That means you will have 6x 8 pins. Now you have 2x 8 pins for 3 GPUs

Hello everybody. I'm just trying to learn more about how PSUs work, safe wattage of wires, connectors, etc. etc. Any advice would be much appreciated! In short, this just looks like a whole lot of splitters and connectors going back to one PCIE plug. 5700XT tops out at 260W, plus two risers at 75W each gives me a total of 410W on one 8pin connector. I know once you undervolt the GPUs they will be much lower, but still, if something weird happens and they go full blast, that seems unsafe. The wires are likely 16 gauge which can handle that draw, but the ATX standard for an 8pin is only 150W. I know this PSU is single rail, so is that what makes it doable? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the electrical aspect of mining rigs. Thanks again!

For dual power supplies, how do you specifically allocate each power supply based on power consumption? One power supply is motherboard+cpu+2gpu, and the other is 6xgpu. Or a motherboard+cpu+4gpu, another 8xgpu (12gpu mining rig).
@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
The cpu mobo and all that really doesn't count for much, it usually comes out to 40-60 watts. So the best thing to do is equally divide gpu and the riser that's powering the gpu equally between both PSUs if they are the same wattage. If you have a smaller and a bigger psu then do it proportionally as long as your under the 80% of total psu watts. You can learn more on that from our ATX PSU guide on our channel!

hello, new fan here :D quick question: if you have 1200euro to invest, would you make a gpu rtx3090 minig rig and until the next 2024 halving your profit is about 2400euro, OR just buy bitcoin of 1200euro and wait for 3 years and you will have more profit?

Hey! I wouldn't buy a 3090 instead a 3080 or 3060 ti. But both of these are just predictions, you might invest Bitcoin can go down and you might buy a rig and mining becomes not profitable anymore. So both have their risks it's up to you to choose!

Great video! I have a question tho.I'm planning on building a 6 5700xt's rig with a LC 1200W Platinum edition PSU, but I'm a little bit confused about how to connect the gpu's and the risers, since I doubt that there are that much 6pin ports on that particular PSU.And I'm trying to avoid using the sata cables to power the risers since they are unsafe.What do you recommend? Also is it okay if I use a splitter for one 6pin from the psu to one 8pin and one 6pin to a single gpu? Because 5700xts are connected with one 8pin and one 6pin
@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I would recommend using splitters as much as you can and those splitters connect to vga cables. So one vga cable from psu to a gpu and a riser by using a splitter. Don't connect splitter directly into PSU it has to be through the main strand which is usually an 8 pin on the side that plugs into psu. I actually also have a full guide on the PSUs can be found herekzbin.info/www/bejne/m2ikgGt3ebp3a8k
@petarmilojkovic33314 жыл бұрын
@@MiningChamber so im good if i use one vga cable to power 1 gpu and its riser? I would use one splitter to split 8 pin to dual 8 pins because 5700xts require dual 8 pins, and if that particular vga cable has another port on it i can use that to power the riser?Or even if i use a splitter there maybe even 2 risers? But i think thats maybe too much power for that one vga cable? What do u think?
@MiningChamber4 жыл бұрын
Yes that is fine! You can do 2 risers and one gpu but that is pushing it yes so it's better to stay safe one gpu and one riser per vga strand
