6800 XT was such a great card when it launched. Still going strong to this day. Love my 7900 GRE tho.

I have the same! Runs smooth absolutely every game at maxed out settings (non RTX) even in 4k! In 1440p this setup is a damn beast!)
the only thing that I noticed is the temps and wattage, is around the same but GRE is like 10 degrees cooler. I own a 6800 XT and the temps can go very high, that's why I configured an undervoltage to maintain core clock speed. But if you are hunting for a new card that can handle 1440p and sometimes 4k on old games you can take either of these gpus and you won't be dissapointed.

I wonder i have R9 3900x and rx 7900 gre should i upgrade to 5800x3D im nut sure if that is gonna be worf it but i can see like 3 to 4 percent bottlenek in 1440p and even in 4K wich is weird
@trousersnake14862 ай бұрын
At higher resolutions you really won't see a huge difference even with a 5800x3d in most games. Heavy cpu games like MSflightsim racing sims, vr and mmo games yeah still a big jump

bought a 6800XT MSI for 300$ and im very satisfied. Im waiting now for RDNA4 and the 8800XT. for 10% more performance i dont pay 200$ more. 6800XT/6900XT still performance for Money - King.

but RX 6950XT is powerful very enought to 2 years but no need new 8800XT. i have now 6800XT too and i wait to 8900 XTX or 8950 XT better full long time!
@CrazO91113 ай бұрын
@@Blackaman0 8900XT/8950XT will not come, amd say they produce no high end graphic cards this time. so you must wait till 9000 Series or take the 8800XT. I think the 8800XT will be a very great budget card.

I have a 6800xt and to me it’s not worth the upgrade to a 7900gre. But that said a 7900XT is worth the upgrade but costs over 1000$ Canadian :(
@eikbolha58833 ай бұрын
I wanted to upgrade to 5800x3D cuz i have R9 3900x and many people actually told me to upgrade well you dit this bench mark and on avarage in 144Op same settings with same gpu but just my cpu i get better ressults avarage was 116fps and one percemt lows was 96fps plus highest was around 132fps damn i cant belived how good this old cpu still is plus in 4k i achived again better results in this benchmark at that is on avarage 53fps and one percent low was 48fps and maximum was 64 fps its not mutch but i tough that my good old cpu will not withstand vs new Zen 3 x3d model haha it actually beat it well by fiew percent but still it beat it and thats huge surprise. Interesting fact is that 3D vcash actually helped a lot in 1080p and i lost by a little bit but damn still this old grandpa of CPU still holds it own i guess new upgrade must be AM5 there is no any other chaice cuz 5800x3D is no match at this point all tho i have to say im impressed how good 8core CPU hold vs my 12 core one pretty neat well i people have something like 3600 or 3700 or 3800 or even 5600 upgrade to 5800x3d but if you have 3900x or 3950x or 5900 or 5950x just dont upgrade to x3d model not worth money rather just wait for new AMD generation and wait untill motherboards are get cheaper and cpus as well and than just buy new mobo new rams and new cpu in this case go for 7600x or 7800x3D but wait until new generation of Zen 5 come out and prices goes down a lot. Over all great video mate. All tho in old r9 3900x i gót around 115 fps in cyberpunk and while in city around 88 to 104 fps nôt bad but 1%lows are worse than on 5800x3d but IF i do anything i can utilizated my gpu more than 98 percent buts only in phantom liberty in base game i have 100 percent utilizated but dlc is another beast maybe thats why but yeah i rather spend extra on am5 and i took 7800x3d or something from brand new cpus maybe maybe we will see IF i find good offers than i go with it and if i dont well its gonna took mé several months but at the end i gót it.

@eikbolha5883 BS. I don't believe you. It cannot be. 3900 is an old crap. Watch direct comparisons even here in KZbin. Maybe your processor were throttling.. did you know that 5800x3d needs good water cooling?

6800XT is the perfect 1080p card, while 7900GRE could barely handle 1440p so I decided to not buy 1440p monitor but instead a 1080p with 165hz! In 2-3, years time it should be different and will be the perfect time to upgrade to 1440p

"7900gre can barely handle 1440p" 😂😂😂😂 good way of saying you couldn't afford 1440p, the 7900gre is a monster for 1440p and does 4k pretty decent for a card it's power. Clown you are 😂
