@anhiirr9 күн бұрын
@@JasonKing-m6m not only that but it RDNA4 will support a sort of DLDSR equivalent for Titles you have extra gpu/capability with you may use VSR 2.0 to run singleplayer titles at 4k ai/super sampling and upscaled and use FSR4 to maximize fps yields on a 2k monitor/budget for MUCH better visuals with a minimal performance hit vs OG VSR or DSR. Even in delta force fully maxed with my 4070ti im able to run 4k and dlss set to quality for 120fps avg with minimal drops into the 90s ever. MED settings only gets around 20-30 more fps i might be bottlenecking with a 5900x compared to a modern ddr5/X3D system...Though 1440p w.o dlss is still more fps than medium at 4k. So if you really value fidelity the 9070xt will really be a great card that checks many boxes and features included with its ideally low price range compared to NV cards this gen
@christophermullins71638 күн бұрын
@@JasonKing-m6mI am sorry to tell you but the distance between fsr 3 and dlss is insane and will NOT be gapped by FSR4. There is literally no way that is possible and if you think so you will be let down. It will be better than fsr.. like xess is.. but it will still be obviously less quality than dlss. You can't watch KZbin videos to understand the difference.. you have to see it in person.. in motion to appreciate how different it is. I would rather buy AMD products because supporting the underdog is the right and just thing to do. I absolutely think 9070 XT with FSR4 can compete very well with Nvidia. I also know that Nvidia has more RnD budget than AMDs entire company value. Nvidia is also about to release a transformer model for upscaling that will be an obvious improvement. Not trying to slam amd or you guys for being positive about AMD. Love AMD and we need to support them.. just don't expect dlss. There is a reason 90% of ppl just buy Nvidia and dlss is one of them. Side note.. DLSS framegen feels noticeably better than fsr3 framegen. There really is some special sauce black magic with dlss.

Hi! At the origin, I was willing to buy the B580, but the more and more the time passes and the less I'm thrilled by the idea. Here's the reasons: First, people who preordered it (in Canada), still haven't received their card and some stores are actually talking that they might receive their only in May... I'm not even joking, see what Canada Computers is saying. The false promise they got from Intel and their partners. Seem like that even for partners, the B580 wasn't a priority. Second, well, one of the reasons why I was willing to go B580 was because we were in-between generations for AMD and Intel, so I thought I could skip a generation to come back later, but we are about to get a release of the AMD and Nvidia cards and the expectation is actually higher from what I thought at first. Especially for the Ray Tracing Cores. Third, obviously the cost! Yes, maybe they will come back at MSRP in May when they will be (in theory) widely available, but when we'll get there, it'll be too late for my project. So instead, if I have to pay a good amount of money I would rather go for a rx 9070 or RTX 5070 than the B580! Fourth, memory management problems that very few channel talk about when it comes about VM (not to confound with emulation which emulation is 100% focused on CPU due to its software nature, while VM concept is mainly a pass-through so video card also involved). Since I do work a lot on VM, that's a major con. So I will probably go for the RX 9070 when it'll get released or the 5070 depending the availability where I live.

I bought the B580 sparkle Titan for RRP £279. It runs like a dream. People just need to wait and they will get one for RRP. Never pay more, it's that simple. Installation was straight forward. Removed old drivers and installed Intel's. No issues. I went into BIOS and enabled rebar. Reboot and that was it. I use 2 screens with he left in portrait. Changed it so screen was displayed ion portrait, all good. Games, everything worked and no issues. Some games just started without a refresh. I set sliders to Max on games and everything runs beautifully. I don't benchmark games, they either play well or they don't. As far as I can tell, everything plays on Max. I don't use ray tracing and never will. I'm not interested in cyberpunk, never played it so why would I care. The benchmark thing seems like chasing numbers rather than addressing actual experience in real terms. They are ok for reviews but pointless beyond that. I paired it with a 5700X3D. It seems like a good match and overall it's a tremendous upgrade. The 3 fans are super quite, I'm sure it was the wise move as I bet the smaller coolers will eventually get noisy in a few years as more bemand is put on the card by future games. As is though, phenomenal performance and a great price. I bought the B580 and 5700X3D as an upgrade for my wife's PC. She seems happy. My PC has a 5700X3D and 6800 XT. In game, I can't see any noticeable differences. I paid £350 for my 6800 as my old graphics card failed and I had no choice, I had to buy something. I wish the B580 had came out a few months earlier as I'd have had that in a flash. So, in my opinion the B580 is hands down the card people should be going for. Most people aren't interested in pissing away 2 grand on a card. If you have an older card and have been waiting for the crazy pricing to come back down to reality, well folks, this is the card. It's already fantastic and as it matures it will only get better. It's not an apples to apples comparison, in a year I bet it will be even better. Best card for gamers in years. The B580 is an absolute winner!

Thanks for the review! I have a mega question for you! I'm using an arc 380 for pure encoding & streaming on a dedicated streaming PC,but would upgrading to B570/580 worth the effort for improving live encoding,as in the case of need to encode 2 different outputs at same time (i.e. recording at high quality and streaming at lower bitrate)? A380 does a fantastic job with AV1 but starts struggling in such cases

COD and ubisoft titles are REALLY going to shine with the AMD cards bc of their lobby/optimization with those devs/publishers. Intel does shine in some newer titles or remakes like RE4 as well as others. CP2077, FC6 a few others at 1440p/mixed settings and the intel beats a lot of options for the price outside of the used market where a 3070 or 6800 may exist at or around 300$ or less TBH the cp2077 1440p results are quite astonishing for a direct comparison to RDNA2 and RDNA3 gpus in its price range esp when it isnt using scaling or raytracing. IM surprised intel's architecture L cache and memory bandwidth has come this far in so little time. The ultra+ witcher 3 results were also quite impressive. As great as that is, its clearly an entry level card. AMD's 9000/rdna4 cards will have an AMD DLDSR competitor which will further the RDNA4's potential for AAA/singleplayer titles where owners can choose VSR 2.0 or what amd calls it to push 4k resolution on a 2k monitor for added fidelity then pair it with FSR4 on quality for some great visuals/performance at all SKU. Conditional of course to GPU power/ceiling based on title....but still a huge deal to me TBH

It’s clear the high cpu utilisation on Arc is hindering its performance and needs more driver optimisations going forward. Saying that, I’m using my Arc B580 w/ a Ryzen 5800X3D in a HTPC and it’s performing well for 1080p and 1440p (at times w/ either FSR or XeSS) and it’s performing well doesn’t appear to be cpu bound with a X3D v-cache cpu (well my 8 core anyways)! The fact a Ryzen 5600 is certainly cheap enough these days to upgrade an AM4 build or a an AM5 Ryzen 7500F / 7600 cpu build is fairly reasonable these days, Arc imo is still a vg viable GPU for newer entry leaves builds!

Considering we're still pretty soon after the launch of the B580 I'm confident they'll stop getting scalped eventually and we'll see prices dip into the $200s where they're supposed to be. That's where the card becomes much more interesting. There were a number of people that _did_ successfully get cards at MSRP and there's actually quite a few AIB cards listed at or near MSRP. They're just continuously out of stock because scalpers be scalpers. It's sad that this happens now with _every_ freaking GPU release and it's even infected entry level offerings.

From my own testing and the benchmarks other people have done I was pretty impressed by the B580, but not sure I would recommend it to anyone with a CPU older than the Ryzen 5600 because of the overhead issue. Battlemage also seems to struggle alot with both RTGI and non-RT GI in the games I tested either in the VQ or perf impact or both, and legacy game support isn't quite there yet either.

funny enough, i've seen HUB 4060 vs B580 in 50 games today, this is somekind of complementary content.... but even with 9800x3d, B580 ended 1% slower with extended suite of games... so i wonder how all that would be with something more akin of price point, since as we know it, B580 paired with B580 can lose half of it's performance in worst case trully trendsetting GPU, makes you redistribute funds to 50% for CPU rule instead of 50% for GPU rule

I was going to buy a B580 to upgrade our lass's computer, but a friend was selling an rx6750xt complete in box, and they offered it to me for £207.50 ( the £7.50 was for shipping) or €246.39/US$253.75, which is about £80 less than on ebay for the same card, and over £100 cheaper than a B580 on amazon. I suppose you don't really need to pile on the issue already, but how do you feel about the CPU overhead issue affecting Battlemage GPUs? I'm sure you're well aware by now that older CPUs absolutely TANK the Arc GPU performance. Going down to a still reasonably modern 5700X may already start favoring the AMD GPUs. I see you did your tests with the 9800X3D, as most testers do, but Hardware Canucks and a few other channels have pointed out how disproportionally bad the FPS and Frametimes end up on older/weaker CPUs.

What you mean b580 is better in productivity were you said that open data in blebder dont support certain things which should make both rx 6750xt and 7600xt faster or you overall mean cause if you thing about blender also introduces the ai noise reduction so for that I think Intel card would be better but overall looking at pricing in europoe the 6750 looks like better deal for both raster gaming and no ai production, can you explain this to me pretty please? Also will add that I saw b580 has same problem as original arc were they suck 36 watts on idle while both NVIDIA and radeon has below 10/8 watts consumption so even if battlemage uses less power which is great I can imagine somebody who is a seasone player and mostly goes on pc to do more programming or has workflow focused around DAW programs the high idle power consume might counter point the low gpu power consume under load. What your opinion about this is it value assumption or I overthinking it?
