You can turn on the VIRTUAL SUPER RESOLUTION option from the AMD driver, in the settings section, then in the display section, after the Windows settings, set the monitor to 8K, and then go into the game and set the game to 8K, in this case, you can both frame generation and FSR. turn it on

Hey just wanted to let you know that FSR 3 Frame Gen is secretly enabled by default in this game. You have to go to the campaign and choose FSR 3 to disable it there, then it’ll be off in Multiplayer. Not many people know about it yet but it has probably skewed your benchmarks. My 4080 Super barely gets 60fps at native 4K Extreme with it disabled, much worse unfortunately. Pretty ridiculous and I was tearing my hair out wondering why my config wasn’t working correctly, it was that all along, check it for yourself!

A friend of mine has an RTX 4070, and he was not experiencing the water-flickers on the map you started on. However on my 4080 Super the water was glitchy and flickering constantly, not even restricted to that map. Call of duty developers always find weird ways to create glitches but only on certain platforms 😂

that's just VRAM allocation, not actual usage. it likes to reserve a large buffer for itself I guess. if you look at the 1080p section of the video it's still showing 18 GB of VRAM lol

@@cblack3470 it's still 24-30% faster in pure rasterized performance without any of those things. you can look at techpowerup for example, their relative performance bar charts are based on average pure raster performance. but it's silly to dismiss DLSS and frame gen like that, lol. they are great technologies and worth using. DLSS at 4k especially is a life saver and looks amazing. although if you want those you can just get a 4080 Super and have nvidia tech on top of 7900 XTX performance. 4090 is really only for people who want the best for the sake of having the best, or those tho are willing to pay a serious early adopter price to actually get good path tracing performance at 4k right now.

I have a 7800 x3d, but the way you’ve tuned your 7950 is basically the same as the 7800, so I’m not sure what else could be effecting your performance. Just saying. Not trying to be rude, just trying to point something out and make you aware.

FSR isn't boosting FPS in this game, there are many people reporting this. It's because of VRS disabling itself whenever upscalers are being utilized. The 4090 also only gained 10 fps by enabling DLSS quality at 4K, the difference in other games is way bigger! It's just how the game works. If you're seeing more FPS I think it's because you're testing another map, the one I tested at 4K is the most demanding one apparently 🙂

I’m not sure if I just got lucky or what, but I have water settings to “ALL” and tesselation as well. In 1440 I get like 450-500 on most maps. Didn’t try it on this map to be able to compete though, but I will.

On the box it says 700 watt psu with greater than 12 volt output, but always go for 2x the wattage just in case you run into problems. (1000 watt is good enough.) Also pcie 3.0 will hurt performance since the gpu is 4.0.

Just search on YT for pcie 3.0 & 4.0 comparison of 7700xt if its worth for you, having 5-10 less fps depend on games etc. 500w too low, get a 850w its generally the sweet spot for budget users as well as for future upgrade, if you plan to anyway, if you really in a budget and don't plan to upgrade for more than 5yrs at least target a 700w-750w psu, 650 should be fine also.
