I know the EZ8 is impressive and all, but can we put some appreciation to whoever made that bridge they're standing on? Things built tough enough for 18m tall robots to rough around in.

Lmao yeah id atleast believe that it can hold an MS standing on it but that bridged tanked a fuckton of shots and recoils from EZ8 shots. They should use that bridge as armor 😂😂

It's weird that it only seemed to occur to the guys completely unaccustomed to fighting in Earth gravity to build ultra-high mobility Mobile Suits that can hover around and even fly temporarily. I love how Packard gets cocky despite being the "superior" pilot in his fight with Shiro, discarding his sword to use the magnetic grappler. Shiro also seems to sacrifice the Ez8's left arm to block several blows before he decides to rip it off and beat the Gouf over the head with it.

Shiro saluted Packard after his death because he recognised that Packard absolutely was the superior pilot. He went up against 3 gundams and wiped out the guntanks effortlessly, then went out on his own terms. The only reason Shiro managed to get a hit in because Packard was momentarily too stunned to react when he learned that Shiro was the man Aina fell in love with.

EZ8は一番好き盆栽ガンダムとは違って武器切り替えはバックパックの中から取り出さないといけない不便さがあるけど、その泥臭さ、機械油臭さが良いしかも陸ガンと違って現地オリジナル改修機だから、使う素材によっては姿形や仕様も変わる余地がある乗ってるのがシローというのも良い熱い人間には似合いの機体

連邦VSジオンで地上戦では陸戦型ガンダムのマシンガン仕様で無双していた思い出。180キャノンはアニメではかっこよかったけどゲームでは撃つたびに動きが止まって戦闘にならなかった。

The EZ-8 seems, in retrospect, to be a full armor Gundam Ground Type. The tiny shield is iconic but sort of bothers me on the lack of coverage. I always loved the design, it's so unique.

In typical Gundam fashion the EZ-8 was essentially an "upgrade" to the RX-79G based on data from the Gundams (all like 17+ variations in the field at the time) and Shiros own data. Add to the this they didn't have the parts to fix Shiros Gtype so they said "welp, might as well make something better". The chest armor is actually two Zaku II shoulder shields. They replaced the v-fin on the head because in jungle combat it would snag on trees and what have you thus a straight vertical "fin" was better.

Love the EZ-8 and the RX-79[G], love the lore in regards that these Mobile Suits were cobbled together from the parts deemed 'not good enough' from the Gundam Project and rather than waste them or put them in storage to be forgotten, they put them to actual use. Probably a good thing because, despite liking Shiro, I think most can agree that he isn't an ACE, towards the end he's close, but if not for the fact he's piloting a Knock-off Gundam, he'd be long dead.

In terms of raw skill and talent he's definitely an ace, experience is all he was ever lacking, though that does make a huge difference for sure. But you find another pilot who could destroy a Zaku using a Ball.

@@asmcint Fair and True, with the exception of the Ball which thanks to plot armor survived several dozen direct hits without exploding, after, it lost the shield/piece of debris XD

グフカスタムがEz8のマシンガンを至近距離で受ける時に、盾を斜めにして受けてましたよね？あえてまともに受けずに弾をいなすようにして受けて、盾の耐久度が落ちないようにしてる。めちゃくちゃすごい！そういうとこエースなんですね！ノリスさん、かっこよすぎ！

90ミリマシンガンの拳銃弾っぽい弾体と違って、装薬量も多く弾体も細長いライフル弾状の弾なのに、掃射で装甲抜けないとか酷い描写だよ。グフカスのガトリングシールドはもっと強力そうな描写だったのに…

It’s like unless it’s the FIRST episode in a series and the unit is lacking in armaments the head mounted guns are just physical aesthetics and nothing more

･･･幾らなんでも非現実的攻撃受けてるのに棒立ち、しかもノーダメージって･･･初代ガンダムの時代じゃあるまいし、もう少しリアリティを感じられる演出が出来なかったものか･･･（巨大ロボットとかワープと言った）SFのお約束以外の部分で、如何にリアリティを出していくかは非常に重要だと思うんだがなぁ･･･

そうか？現実にあるアメリカ軍のエイブラムス戦車だってイラク戦争でT72と交戦して全然歯が立たなかったよ主砲も同じそれと一緒じゃないかな？msイグルー重力前線見たら分かるけど61指揮戦車がザクにシールドに受けてもかする程度やったからザクの盾は結構硬いでそれを2枚にしてるから尚更だね

@@キャサリンコテージ書き間違えだと思うけど一応念の為に言うと、歯が立たなかったのはT72の方だよ。それとM１（エイブラムス）戦車の方が圧倒的に有利だったけど、全く無傷だった訳じゃないよ。イラク戦争全体で、米軍は確か50～60両程度のM1戦車を失っているし、その中にはT-72戦車の125mm砲で撃破されたものも含まれている。 M1が有利だったのは、勿論装甲の差もあるんだけれど、火力、装甲（弾薬庫の設計を含む）、機動性、電子機器、戦術運用、搭乗員の練度、と言った複合要因によるものでただ単に硬いから強かった訳じゃない。アニメのシーンを見ていると、滅茶苦茶撃たれまくっているのに傷一つ付いていない様子で、流石に現実的じゃないなと。

@@ゲーム用仮書き間違えてたわけどあれ大半は同士討ちやでT72でほとんど撃破はされてないらしで後ez8よく見ると傷は入ってるよ右肩は窪みも出来てるし後方はウェポンコンテナに傷だらけやで？後ウェポンコンテナで後方を守られていたんのが要因じゃないかな？最初にウェポンコンテナを外してて攻撃されてたら背面スラスターとかやれてたと思う背面スラスターは装甲は盛れないからねウェポンコンテナもルナ・チタニウム合金で出来てるんでしょうね

@@キャサリンコテージざっと調べなおして見たところ（T-72戦車によるものではないが）M1戦車が撃破された事例として、湾岸戦争で対戦車地雷により行動不能、イラク戦争でRPG-29による撃破、イエメン内戦で（サウジアラビアのM1が）対戦車ミサイルで撃破、などがありました。また、イラク戦争ではT-72戦車が近距離側面もしくは背面からの攻撃で、M1を損傷させた事例がある様です。（撃破したかは不明）なおウクライナ戦争ではウクライナ軍のBTR-4やBMP-2が30㎜機関砲でT-72やT-80の側面や背面を攻撃して撃破しています。戦車は全周囲ほぼ無敵の防御力と言う訳ではありません。ましてや、履帯のお陰で設置圧が分散される戦車に比べて、2足歩行のモビルスーツは接地圧が圧倒的に高い訳で、それが背面まで増加装甲の効果で正面並みの防御力とか「どんだけ頑丈な橋やねん！　絶対に床板が抜けるわ！！」と言いたい（笑）なんにせよ、あれだけ撃たれまくって「よく見ると傷は入っている」「窪みが出来ている」で済んでしまうは、やはり非現実的かと。『第08MS小隊』が実はスーパーロボット系のアニメで、Gundam Ez8がマジンガーZみたいな「強いんだ大きいんだ僕らのロボットなんだ」を目指しているのならば、特に何も言う事は無いんですが･･･
