RX is addictive. Like Photoshop for sound. Once you start using this suite, it is very difficult to go back to conventional tools. If you do dialogue editing, it is a must-have. Thanks for sharing, Chris.

How do you compare RX8 to the Acon Restauration Suite (which is named in one of your favourite plugin lists)?

When you import into RX 8 standalone and do these things - does it make a copy of your track and then you export back a copy? - or does this permanently change the file that you rendered. The importing/exporting/rendering is confusing to me.

Your original file will be unchanged. Once you have done whatever processing you wanted, you can export a copy in your chosen format (wav, mp3, AIFF, flac, ogg). RX8 is just magical! I have a client who wanted to do a live show on zoom using tracks but had lost her stems. She had stereo tracks with her vocals. RX8 helped me extract vocals from her track and give her a minus 1!

Howard Seth Option+Command+S will overwrite your edited file over the region. The change will occur as soon as you close RX window.

Chris thx! I have a question. Is there a workflow wherein you can remove background music. Like when you record vocals with the rest of the track through the monitors (because you hate headphones while recording). Can you get rid of that ‘background music’ with Rx8 or do you need fase inversion tricks?

you know, what's the point of using your own voice as a sample to be cleaned up, when the audience doesn't know if it's the recording playback, or your audio narration of this RX video that's being heard on their home computers? It would bode well to use another person's voice recording, even a female audio sample, so we know when it's the recording that was cleaned up (before and after), and when you are talking as the narrator of the youtube video. Also, adding a text as to what original and clean audio playbacks are. You are moving so fast, the video doesn't pause for the audience, and thinks we are following "expertly" what you are doing. Basic video presentation of thinking about the experience and the presentation of the information for the audience, not so much you belting through the process.
