Lets keep the train moving, we'll both get to the end! I'm using the RX-8 radiator, heard others say the same thing.

Just wondering how the diff ratio will go, it is very low for a LS1 swap. I believe it is about 4.73 or something like that.
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
4.44, RPMs will be high 🚀🚀🚀

Thanks for the video! We just dropped an old school 350 with turbo 350 transmission in an rx8 rolling chassis. Just ordered the yoke flange, now to figure out the U joint size on the Turbo 350 yoke and find the correct adapter. Any idea if it or one from a 4L60e (have one of those as well) are that same 1350 size you used?

Where did u get the Adapter plate for the drive shaft
@jasonbeach90263 жыл бұрын
I done my drive shaft the same way as you said you was doing yours and I had to grind some off of that flange yoke that bolts to the differential was wondering if you had to do that also
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Yes I did, I wasn't happy about it and I still don't quite understand why.
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Eventually when I go to a different differential this will be eliminated at least.

Are u driving your yet I still have to find away to hook up a throttle cable to my gas pedal and install my radiator
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Nope, will be working on it again soon. Ended up moving a few states away so that took some time. Working on wiring now though
@jasonbeach90263 жыл бұрын
Yea that part sucks I didn’t have a engine wiring harness with the car when I got so I have to do some more looking into what pins on the Mazda ecm run the oil pressure and coolant temperature already have the rpms wired and working tho

i might be a rookie for this but im doing the same thing i was wondering if welding the driveshaft cutting half of each the rx8 one and the silverado one😔
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Don't do that with the driveshaft buddy, you can solve this for under $300. Welding it with the different sizes will certainly never balance.
@jesseflz70773 жыл бұрын
@@EazyOnCars oh okay so you use the head of the driveshaft? of the express? and take it to get a new pipe done?
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
@@jesseflz7077 I bought a generic 46" driveshaft with 1350 u joints on both sides, the slip yoke from the 4L80e is also 1350 so that works, then I used an adapter for the RX-8 diff (see link in video description)
@bvward3 жыл бұрын
Does an 8.8" have the same dimension from axle centerline to yoke centerline as the Mazda?
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
No idea, but if it's close, it will have a shot at working without making a new driveshaft. Either way removing the adapter u joint will be required for more strength and opens the door to other options.

Did you make a diff mount or are you running the power plant frame? Curious if I can make one or if I’ll have to order one for my swap
@EazyOnCars2 жыл бұрын
I'm using the PPF right now. Makes it a bit harder to fit the shifter linkage, but do-able

Hey good luck on the bill, I was wondering how strong you think that rear differential is? Can't really get any straight answers online. I'm building a F-22 Honda S2000 full swap built, I should be around 5 to 600 hp when done. Just wondering how strong that diff os befor it goes out
@EazyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
Diff isn't too weak, I've hear that the aluminum tabs on the housing break north of 600hp, but the diff itself is fine. Only downside is the ratio for me with the V8
@EvolutionEnthusiast3 жыл бұрын
@@EazyOnCars o ok yea i thought so, it looks strong to be, my will be turbo 4 cylinder so it will work perfect. I haven't dropped any videos of the RX8 yet, I'm still added team will drop about 5-6 videos of it soon, if you care to see the build. Thanks for the info🙏🏼
