RX-CT800 & 830 Stereo Features

I just bought one of these used and it sounds excellent. The only thing that needed was I had to put a new belt in the left side tape player. It would play but it would not fast forward or rewind. Now everything works.

thanks for the video post. I got my 830 running again. Without thinking it through I gave each deck a good spray of WD 30. Ran each playing without a tape for a minute. Squeaks are gone. Both sides play great, but the left one won't rewind/ffwd. I guess maybe a motor weakness? Guessing it's not a belt thing for mine. Playing great as my newer stereo from about 2003 eats tapes no matter what I do.

You know whats ridiculous people are actually trying to sell manuals for this stereo for like 20 bucks! www.highqualitymanuals.com/Panasonic-RX-Series/RX-CT830-Service-Manual-p-1026.html I'm just trying to find the manual to see how old it is. I have one that was my brother's. A little beat up and left deck doesn't work right with sound on the right side mostly. Didn't know people sell manuals lol. Should be illegal since it's copyrighted.
