It is a journey growing older. We will have sad days, but please remember we are blessed to reach an old age. For 48 years I worked in a support position in pediatric and adult oncology units. It has helped me to be thankful for every spot and wrinkle I have. I try very hard to sparkle everyday I wake up. I wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. ❤️ Patti your beauty radiates from your heart. You inspire all of us! 💕

Agreed, my older sister died at 17 (from poor management of her health condition in hospital!) and my younger sister died at 9 (after fighting Leukaemia for 4yrs) I did not believe I would reach 21, and had a few crazy years in my teens.... but then I did turn 21, and thought, OK... maybe I will grow into an adult.... so I did my nursing, saw old people, sick people, crippled people.... and I realised, its not how long you live, but the quality of the life you live, the achievements you make in your life, and the things you can be proud of, that you did bring to the table come judgement day.

Sorry to piggyback but Facebook won't let me comment. Patti, your alcohol hack is old. My mother was a nurse and always kept a bottle of alcohol in her locker in the hospital and another in her car. There were times that the door lock was frozen and she had to go back inside the hospital to get her bottle to unlock the car so she could come home. This was in the early 1960s and she continued it till she died in 1992. Alcohol will also kill ants immediately. I use it instead of Windex. There are so many uses for alcohol. I'm allergic to Betadine so if I need surgery I am swabbed with alcohol. Unfortunately I am fatally allergic to alcoholic beverages so I don't have the privilege of enjoying an occasional cocktail. I can see how her old self is finally coming back, bit by bit. I don't know you, but I am very proud of you for not giving up on yourself, no matter how sad you are. I used to get those bruises mainly on my wrists and a little above them. I think it's because I'm more likely to bump my wrist reaching into a cabinet or drawer or gardening, etc. A neighbor of mine told me he always wears wrist bands when he gardens, and I thought that made sense. I got on Amazon and ordered a pair of wristbands (they are usually worn by athletes). The ones I got are about 4 inches wide, so they protect up my arm a little ways. I wear them gardening or cleaning the house or anytime I think I might get a bump. It has really helped a lot. I have gotten way fewer of those ugly bruises since wearing them. I recommend them to anyone tired of bruises.

I’ve watched you for several years. First time I’ve commented only because you mentioned the bruising. My doctor told me to take 5k units vit C daily. It took about a month but what a difference!! My skin was nothing but bruises, plus 2 heart attacks probably didn’t help. But I promise you, what a difference. I also was a flight attendant for 20 years and miss it so much. At 76 I just try to keep myself from wearing a bag over my head. Anyway, it won’t hurt to try as my doctor said what you don’t need you will get rid of it. Love your show and please keep it up!💖

I’ve used Arnica, biotin, the same supplement you told us about, and Heliochysum. Nothing works fast enough for me! I will bruise my chest while sleeping, by my fingernails. That’s the ugliest! I don’t mind getting old, but I don’t want to look ugly to myself. That’s why I watch you! To find makeup and style choices that make me feel good about myself. The ugly bruises just hurt my self esteem.

Thank you for this tip. I will definitely try this. I’m not on blood thinners. I’m just a free bleeder. I’m also the woman who as I did a few nights ago. Went diving into the spare room. Looking for my Christmas ornaments. I found a frame that I had broken and needed to reglue to put back in my original frame. Well I fell as per usual. Cut the back of my upper thigh about 18 inches long. You would I thought I had been stabbed. I used to use Witch hazel as a toner in the Summer. It will be an uncomfortable time with me trying to sit down. Oh my goodness. What a hott mess I am. I’m so thankful my nephew helped me or I was giving up. I had a new tree I purchased last Christmas because I wanted a preflight tree. Well it was so beautiful last year easy as pie. Yet I put it in my storage shed. Well after I opened the box. I found out that a mouse had eaten my new tree. I was like really. I guess all the hurricanes we have had here in Florida. Maybe scared them to death. It sure has me. So we had to get into the car. Go to Walmart and buy new lights. As well as new ornaments. Of,course the next day I found the box with the ones I also bought last Christmas. It’s ok I am not going back into Walmart to fight that mob of people. Merry Christmas to all with love. Suzanne.

I ended up getting an ash brown eyebrow pencil. It worked! It made my face look alive again. I needed the brown but it needed to NOT be a red brown but an ashy brown. It’s PERFECT! Keep up the good work in your channel!! Much love

This is the answer to age spots on your hand tops. I happened to find a dermatologist who knew how to do it. He’s since passed away. He used that really cold stuff that would usually be put on a wart to get rid of it. He was very quick about it. It scabbed lightly and fell off and there was NO more age spot! I went to another dermatologist and asked him if he’d try doing what I described that my older dermatologist did. He did try it. It burned too deeply and scarred a tiny bit. If I hadn’t had some other big things in my life, I’d have pursued trying it again with my dermatologist until we figured out the formula. I keep sunscreen on my hand tops as well as put on vitamin C serum. I’m 72 in a few weeks and I have NO age spots on my hands. I hope this helps someone out!

Does anyone have any suggestions. I’ve tried just about all brands except the ones that cost in the $40. 00 range. So I was thinking Humm🤔 maybe I’d be better off with false eyelashes or the major expense of having a professional to do what they do for eye lashes. Another thing eyebrows?? Using the light taupe colors of eyeshadow for my brows & finishing them with brow gel works best for me. I tried several thing from the "Ugly Bruises" video & none worked worth beans BUT since I bruise & mark up so easy it's crazy, I bought Arnicare Bruise Cream off Amazon, I swear it works well. Any marks I get & immediately rub some cream on & often after, they go away in less than half the time, even the bad ones. I always go get something to push stuff into the open I drop in the car, especially, I've gotten more marks reaching between the car seats & from cabinet, drawers, & the shelves in my fridge! Even doing laundry. I'm super careful but I am forever reaching for the Arnicare cream! I don't waste money on oils or lotions anymore. I am fairly sure you need to lay your lash at the outer corner, without pulling your lid. I'd only trust glued ones.

Patti, I have very thin skin and I will be 71 in a few weeks. We went to Florida this past March. While walking thru the airport, a women bumped into my right lower arm with her suitcase. I knew she had torn my skin. Oh my goodness! When I went to the ladies room and saw the tear, I wanted to cry. I immediately washed it with soap and water and applied a bandaid. We then went to CVS before going to our Condo to buy antibiotics and larger bandaids for sensitive skin. Long story but I do understand the bruising and wish there were something I could do……..other than be very mindful of my surroundings and try to cover up my arms always. Especially when I am around people in close proximity. I do so enjoy you and am always happy to see your videos. Take good care! 😊❤
@espring195418 күн бұрын
I have found that if I have a tear it heals faster if I carefully unroll the skin and lay it down the best I can before putting on the bandaid. No antibiotic cream at all. Don't get it wet and change the bandaid regularly. sometimes the skin will stick back down and not leave so much of a scar. After a couple days you can put antibiotic cream or ointment on if you still think you need to. Works for me.

You always lift my spirits Mz Patti and I enjoy spending time with you. It's been my experience that any self adhesive lashes are just not good. U really do need a lash glue to hold both ends down. Glad ur going to get ur money back on those ones. Here in Scotland we get a lot of heavy frost over the autumn and winter months. Fast tips are always appreciated so will try this as soon as I find a place here that sells rubbing alcohol. Not sure if we have that available here. Take care and stay safe. Much love ♡♡♡

Your pharmacy or chemist should have rubbing alcohol.

@jeanetteh.9240 I found it on Amazon which is great and really not that expensive. I tried our pharmacy but they don't stock it. They have wipes only. Thanks Jeanette, Merry Christmas 🎅

I love the gray you use on your brows! It’s soft and natural looking. I also love everything about Wayne Goss too! I’m glad to see you enhance your beauty and not say that it’s too much trouble to do anymore. We need to see more mature beauties like yourself. You’re gorgeous 💖!

I just watched an 8 month old video of yours. I often do. You said " I'm pretty sure if you watch my channel you love makeup. I thought about it and I do but its you I watch it for. I love you. 💕 Not in a weird scary way! I love your company! I have watched you for years. Thank you so much for putting your videos out!!!!

In a weird trust of “fate”, I was home sick and right before this video, I watched Nikol Johnson’s video where she used Arnell lashes with self adhesion that are lashes that are not in a strip but are a couple in each group that go on underneath instead of on top and she was raving about how easy they are and she’s usually a pretty hard sell. Just wanted to share - take a look. Live your videos

Also, that sunset was beautiful as are you. I would love to see you try some different eye shadow colors - more earth tone. I say that because I think the purple shade range seems to be what you’re trying to conceal around your eyes. Also (I’m 72) I was told we don’t need to have the sunken cheek look made with bronzers and I left it off and it was fine! I think you would look amazing in an apricot color lipstick and blush with less shine. Never hurts to experiment even though you are lively no matter what

Patti, this is off the subject, but I wish you would do another video on your closet. How to straighten, do you put colors together, short sleeve and ling sleeves together, or do you switch out Spring/Summer and then when Fall/Winter rolls around. Is their particular stores you shopping or order from? I am retired and my husband is in Stage 4 cancer, so therefore I am wearing a lot of Tee shirts and stretchy pants, comfortable clothes, going back and forth to cancer center. Can you help me with a video? Particular hangers for things. Thank you.

I take Biotin for my nails, and they grow really long quickly, I also use the johoba oil on my face to make my skin soft, so I use the same things but for different reason, the Biotin has made my hair grow long, it's Down to my waist, I'm 70. Love your channel ❤

Patti, you are such a delight as you experiment with so many things. I sure would love you to experiment with wigs again. I thought you were so beautiful last time you wore one several years ago. You were instrumental in getting me on the wig train to just have fun with them. I consider them just another accessory.

I love when the music started as you were trying to get those lashes on. I immediately thought of Lucille Ball when she applied false eyelashes and they were falling off. Lol Love your content and I’m jealous I don’t look as good as you in the darker lipstick. 💕

Patti, we went to the dermatologist today for my husband and he asked her about the bruising on his arms and she has had good luck with DerMend. It is over the counter. I ordered the xtra strength but don’t know if it is any different than the regular they have on Amazon. I thought you might want to try it as we are both going to. It is worth a try.

Patti, try keeping your eye open and bring the lash on as you hold it above the eye. Try doing lashes maybe before eye shadow. Maybe cutting lashes to fit the inner eye. I take blood thinner and have horrible bruises that often turn black. My hand area is thin, I get brushed so easily. I spent many years alone for Christmas however, it helped me be great full for my blessings. When my daughter passed away the holidays seem harder and lonely. Part of me died with her, that hole in my heart is empty. I think your channel is awesome and I love purple so your eyeliner is great! Keep playing with the lashes. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi Patti, vitamin C is the best for bruises. Castor oil, forget it. I used that stuff for months and nearly ruined my bath robe from the scent of castor oil I had to launder a few times to remove. I found nothing good in castor oil plus its way too heavy to put on the face.Coconut oil is the best for everything even removing eye makeup. You are beautiful Patti💕

I had eyelid surgery 2 years ago and during my pre-op with his nurse she went over the paperwork prior to surgery. My eye surgeon recommends to his patients that 2 weeks before you take a supplement called: Arnica Montana, rapid dissolving tablets you put under the tongue to help bruising recovery after surgery. So I decided to give them a try. I have pics of 2 hrs. after surgery thru day 7 when I went for my follow up appointment and the results were fantastic. My doctor commented and asked if I had taken the Arnica. Bruising was almost gone in 7 days. His nurse told me some of his older patients that bruise easily continue taking them. Highly recommend these. I was 72 at that time.

Thanks Karen. I had a severely deviated septum repaired several years ago and my Dr gave me similar instructions only he said to not take aspirin or ibuprophen or anything containing those for 2 weeks prior to the surgery. I had absolutely no bruising whatsoever and that surgery involved breaking bones! It didn't affect the shape of my nose but I can now breath thru my nose. I will def look into the Arnica Montana. I've used a few brands of topical arnica and I just could not see any quicker results. P
