It's a shame this was never released. Arguably one of his best. He has the uncanny ability to put all of his emotions into the entire song. From the way he pours out the lyrics, to the chords on guitar and the melancholy, bittersweet chorus. It's all there. Pure raw emotion and you can feel every bit of it. He doesn't get the credit he deserves for being such an amazing artist and musician. This is an incredible song.

This is my all time favorite song by him. Sad it’s not on streaming apps. His words are poetry

In this day and age, it is so difficult to set yourself apart from the rest. Ryan Bingham does exactly that! Love everything this guy does! Musically, he can do no wrong!!!

I will never get tired of your music or this song. Thank you Bingham! This one reminds me of my husband, the most selfless person I've ever met. And my sister...who I'd always give my last sip or water. ❤ And who I'll never leave behind again...never been to a show but oh how we'd love to catch you at the Rymann.

This is hands down Binghams most underrated song. How in the world did a tune as beautiful as this never make it on one of his records?! Another underrated, unreleased RB song that I just can’t get enough of is his cover of “that’s how strong my love is” by Otis Redding. Go check it out and tell me what yall think....

It's on the unreleased album. I think he had two of them. Honey is so simple, but great imagery of teenage love. Great song. That whole Wishbone Saloon album is great. A lot of people in country would kill to write it.

Response to how to play its really simple ..... my rendition of what he's doing ... .. Capo 4th fret. Basic chord progression is Am, C, F, G his picking pattern is normal but different just listen to the song and you'll get it. He does some other things but its pretty easy to replicate once you get the chords
@jbmaney13 жыл бұрын
Half step down tuning.. Dm F B-flat C. Beautiful chord progression.

From what I've picked up sounds like he's talking to an ex. Sounds as if hes telling her all the things he would do so not to have anymore tears from her. As far as The trigger let down ....makes no sense to count bullets from a gun that you let the hammer Down on reference or not. Sounds more like he'd count every bullet from the "trigger he let down" in other words " and I'd count every mistake that I have caused" :) but thats just the way I interpret it .
