how about an all time record is better than a super bowl how about that. What team won the super bowl when ED got the record. Nobody remembers, but the record lives on every year. Only 9 people have rushed for 2k. To me that’s a bigger accomplishment than winning the SB as a loaded team

U know philly is in the wildcard right like they gotta win 3 games just to get to the superbowl what happends if philly is a first round knock out or if barkley gets hurt in that game plus i think this absolutely KILLS team vibes and momentum i think this move ultimately kills there superbowl chances

The argument can go either way i see what some are saying. But Tomlinson didnt win the superbowl but that 2006 season will always be talked about and He still seen as one of the greatest running backs so, the mere fact Eric Dickerson record is still talked about shows how epic that record is. Personally the superbowl isnt guaranteed neither is the record but the way saquon been running its likely to break this record in the first quarter. He ran for 100 in the first quarter in Washington. He could missed this game and get hurt the first play of the playoffs. Getting the record would almost guarantee him a Hall of fame spot

Since when did individual records trump the goals of the team? Of course he could get hurt in the first game of the playoffs. But you won’t ever know that if he gets hurt in a meaningless game vs Giants. Last year the eagles lost AJ Brown in a meaningless game and Jalen broke a finger. You can guarantee no injury if Saquon and the starters don’t play.

@Phillygreen I'm not saying invidual goals Trump team success I'm simply saying in the midst of pursuing the ultimate superbowl get that record. The argument I hear is what if Saquon gets hurt dude he could get hurt stepping off the bus. They pushed for Terrell Davis to get the record in pursuit of the superbowl. I don't put individual success above the team but if an individual is helping my team succeed I'm going make sure that individual gets his. If they sit him and they still don't make the superbowl it was a waste to sit him. I bought up Ladainian Tomlinson and believe me I wanted to see him with a ring. But you know what it didn't happen at least he walked away with a season no back will touch for a long time and it's still talked about as one of the greatest performances ever. The point is take everything you can get out of this league because there's no guarantee they win a superbowl
