I have absolutely nothing but RESPECT for this movie and these two young actors. Seeing how much effort they punt into the realization of this film melts my heart. It's extremely rare to see two actors, especially male ones, being comfortable around each other on camera, especially when filming a sex scene, but that's exactly what makes this movie so special. They submerged their selves, heart and souls, into this project in order to respect and honor the memory of Tim and John and all the ones who suffered for HIV (along with the entire LGBTQ+ community). Such a great and remarkable example of what being a professional actor truly means. I loved the movie and I'm extremely happy that these two beautiful men will contribute to keep Tim and John's legacy alive forever. May they always be remembered.

Craig is SO right about 'actors' in LA - as a trained actor and acting coach here, there are way too many people who think they're actors when they're not - they're not trained and they have no life experience.

I don't agree, I'd never heard of this film or story before I saw this movie but I believed they were both 15 in the school scenes, I thought they looked older true but I looked 25 at age 15 and some guys do that's just a fact of life, all depends on genetics. It was so much better and believeable that the film makers used the same actors to play age 15 and older.....This was everything in this movie I feel. It just wouldn't have had the same impact if they had used different actors playing young and older....

I only watch holding the man today. I miss the 70's I had so many male gay friends and being a straight female got married divorced and had children. I never judged back then nor any day forward. Only a few weeks ago my grandson said he feels he may be gay my reply what a wonderful life you will have.
