Many times people look to nature, or natural settings to reconnect with themselves, their dreams, and to find inspiration in their life. For me, music has always been that place to find inspiration and peace in my life. Often times the idea or images of the wilderness are tied to these feelings. From the very first note of this album, I strived to create music that would not distract myself or the listener from entering into such a place. I'm always challenging myself to grow as an artist, and In many ways, the music of Wilderness embodies what I feel has been the most intentional music I've ever created. This music follows no scene or trends, and with a careful balance of mixing acoustic instruments, electronic, analog synths and my own ambient vocals, for me this music embodies and offers a transparent reflection of where my music and artistic voice is, in this moment.
Thank you so much for sharing and celebrating with me over the years all of the music that I've created, the music we have shared together. I can never express my gratitude, especially to those who have had an open mind and who have genuinely connected with my music. Whenever I hear that my music is helping anyone who is going thru a tough time in their lives, or helps them feel or experience their life in a richer, more meaningful way... well that's when I know I'm doing my job. At the end of all of this, I hope to just be a part of a community that spreads positivity and life through music and to continue to share the music with you. - Ryan

@@ryanfarish Oh thank you so much for the reply! Apple made a "memory" movie of our recent camping time at Buck Pond in the Adirondack Mts. I wanted to change the music they selected for the short movie and found your song, "Child." It was perfect since our daughter and her young family were with us. It brings up all the beautiful feelings of being together in nature. I am so grateful to have found your music. It is very uplifting and peaceful and makes me feel closer to nature and God ... Ryan do you plan on releasing any songs that sound similar to any of the songs that appeared in your earlier albums such as Wonderfall and From the Sky to name a few? I found the musical style in a lot of those songs to be some of my favorites of yours. I do like this song however and absolutely can’t wait to hear the rest of the album. You’ve become one of my favorite artists over the years and I’d like to thank you for the music you’ve produced.
