Clean hit as far as contact.....but the risk if it was bad contact is high at that speed. There's no reason to check that hard and fast. A much better play would have been to hit Duclair at half that speed. Knock him over/get the puck and no whistle needed. Why bother trying to injure the other player/yourself, stop the game and get a penalty doing so?
