Thank you for sharing what is such as interesting yarn. I think you made the correct decision to switch to JKA karate. It has the sort of depth that can keep you motivated for many, many years.

Why did you stay in Germany, if I may ask? Really interesting story you have, quite the world tour. I can understand the thinking of qualified instructors, there are many "McDojos" and I fell into that trap when I was young too. Glad we had a good Taekwondo "Kampfkunst-Schule" here after all. Thank you for sharing! Hope you stay immortal like you lineage :)

I was never a fan of ki/chi mysticism .... I wanted something pragmatic .... I went with boxing, taekwondo and jiujitsu.

traditionally Jujutsu also does have concepts of Ki/Chi but it can also be just considered just potential and Kenetic energy as well as leverage and timing for most of Japanese jujutsu descendent styles like BJJ, judo, Aikido ETC
