@virgil6206 5 жыл бұрын
@@fuckbutterflies6585 I love Cliff Burton, and Metallica. But you can't deny Ryan's far superior technique and mechanical skill. Cliff Burton's lines are certainly hard to get down but they pale in comparison to Ryan's. For example, compare Master of Puppets, widely considered an extremely hard bass line to something like Death Blooms. Ryan is genuinley a nuts player.

1:25 he feels that heart rate increase. Bass, Drums, Guitar, etc. Anyone who can actually play in the music world knows that feeling when you're just absolutely killing it and are aware of what's happening. You can perfectly practice the same plays for 10yrs straight and fuck up the moment a camera of any sort comes into perimeter lol. He was on one of those days where the energy is perfect. Last Year I came across this vid around this time. My son was about 3 months old, But when I played this he got so quiet and as it was over he started to cry! I think this is dope because this is the same guy who looked like satan in "dig". Now this song serves as my sons soothing melody. He's 1 now. Thanks Ryan!! The kid loves music!!

It's so cool to see him exploring another side to his playing. He's clearly got some killer prog-rock/jazz fusion chops aside from just his obvious skill in Funk and Metal.

I could listen to Ryan play bass for an hour at least and not complain. This video feels like it's 5 minutes long with how good it is, and Ryan is primarily who I aspire to be like when I play bass.

When I heard "Dig" the first time many years ago, that opening bass line blew me away. Really talented player, he has a very original and unique sound which gave Mudvayne a different flavour to other metal bands of that era. One of my favorite bass players of all time.

I met Ryan, a long time ago... at the House of Blues, in Myrtle Beach. In fact, it was so long ago... they were the opening act at the time!! You could never have told me any different, that these guys, wasn't on their way to the top! I was totally blown away...by Mudvayne, and really impressed... with Ryan's playing. Anyways... Ryan,is a really nice guy... and phenom of a player. I always come back to this video, to hear this lick....something very awesome, about this whole vibe! This is some serious shit, going down here!
