Moore is definitely the best jockey in Europe. There's no doubt about it, but he rides some amount of fancied horses and gets it wrong at times. However, he's riding them type of horses for a reason.

Marquand runs him close. If he was retained jockey for one of the top two yards then he would rack up the G1s and prize money.

@shortbreadbiscuit2002 Marquand is probably top 5 in England but I don't think his decision making is as good as Moore's. He let me down a few times on horses that were superior to what finished first. He's definitely a useful jockey, but I prefer Oisin Murphy and Ryan Moore. My new favourite jockey is Barzalona. He did me a couple of nice turns in the last few weeks.

His primary job is to ride the horses which he does very well. Ryan might not be a good interviewee but Lester was fairly short with interviews in his day. I think he gets fed up with too many questions.
