Cubs can have 4 SP and 3-4 SP/long reliever and 5 bullpen include two closer. So actually we can play 6 SP rotation. 4SP: Steele/Imanaga/Tailon/Boyd 4 SP/Long: Rae/Wicks/Assad/Brown Bullpen: Pearson/Miller/Hodge/Pressly/Little And we have good depth: Merryweather/Morgan/Killian/Thielbar/ My ideal combination of the pitching team of 13 pitchers is 4 Starters, 3-4 SP/Long relievers, 1-2 Long relievers /bullpen, 2-3 late inning pitcher 2 closers/8th inning

that would be ok. I hear David Robertson is coming also to the team to handle the 8th and 9th when necessary when Ryan needs a break. And Hodge can close. Ben Brown can close once in a while. Little can close. Still gotta hit and play D but the team is much better and should not blow 25 saves this year.

@ last year Cubs played Dodgers and Yankees tough. They just lost too many games against Reds Pirates Brewers Cardinals. I really did not think Brewers was that good, and predicted they would lose in first round. Cause they rely on luck to win one run game and offense too much. In post season you need pitching which they don’t and Cubs were good all year with SP, and their bullpen actually was not that bad but once someone was on a good run, injury happened, and too many injuries. So once we fix the bullpen this year, we will easily win one run game. For offense there are not too many teams can compete with us 1-9. We might not have great top 3-4 hitters, but we have 7 good hitters with 2 promising. Now we have one great hitter, that will improve offense a lot!
