Ryan Reynolds Gets Jealous Of BAFTA & Emmy Award Winner Jodie Comer (Golden Globe Nominee)

Free Guy is an upcoming 2020 American science fiction action comedy film directed by Shawn Levy, a story by Matt Lieberman, and a screenplay by Lieberman and Zak Penn. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi.A bank teller called Guy realizes he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. Ryan Reynolds loves stirring up drama with his co-stars (ie. Hugh Jackman), and working with “Killing Eve”‘s Jodie Comer is has been no different.
In a hilarious promo for their upcoming action flick “Free Guy”, the co-stars sit down and chat about their characters and the challenges they faced bringing them to life on screen.
But while Comer mentions Molotov Girl, a character who exists in both dimensions of the “Free Guy” world, a black label appears mentioning Comer’s Emmy and BAFTA awards, causing Reynolds to get a little worked up.“I’m sorry,” the actor, 43, interrupts. “Do we really need to put the ‘Emmy winner’ thing there every time? Usually, it only appears at the beginning.”He later adds, “No, no, it’s amazing. You’re amazing in ‘Killing Eve’ - like so good! But maybe we can super in one of my awards?”And that’s when the graphics have a little fun with the Canadian hearthrob, adding labels listing some of Reynolds’ “achievements” like, “Ryan Reynolds - Best Ensemble Cast Nominee (2009)”, “Ryan Reynolds - Sexiest Man Alive (2010)” and finally, “Ryan Reynolds - Best Kiss Nominee (2010)”, which to Reynolds is “not relevant at all.”

I think she purposely tones down her Liverpool accent in some interviews because a lot of Americans and even some English struggle to understand the Liverpool accent sometimes. She’s super good at changing accent if you haven’t seen her in Killing Eve, THEN WATCH IT IT IS AMAZING

In a podcast she mentioned she does when in the US. We all do this to some extent though. We speak differently depending on what setting we are in and who we are with. I think it’s more evident with people like Jodie though because she has such a specific accent.

And in the USA, American actors also bury their regional accents. They call it working on their "non-regional dialect." If you have say...a deep southern accent you tone it down in interviews, and get rid of it altogether in movies unless the role calls for it.

Lots of working class / POC do this as well. adapt to survive. I don’t even think about it now. Sometimes I switch between the two in the same sentence. For actors it’s a piece of piss. @@JennPaciocco There's no 'should'. There's what you would like to happen, and there's what the writers made happen. I haven't read the books, so can't comment on that. Watching the series, though, to me Villanelle getting killed was obviously, clearly, always definitely at least 'on the cards'. Also, for me, she's still a 'baddie' - and I like my baddies to die in the end, so I was fine with it. I also don't have a problem with Eve's 'denial' as you put it. It's hardly unrealistic to suggest a person might be repelled by aspects of someone's personality and life (such as them killing lots of people and having fun doing so), despite feeling some sort of fascination/spark for them. The main thing the writers did wrong was just lost sight of the plot. Essentially, the 'cat and mouse' fascination game had limited depth, and it finally ran out.

Is it just me or Jodie Comer looked like a younger version of Betty gilpin? Back then I wasn't familiar with these actresses until I saw some clips of "killing eve" (which I wasn't interested at first and have no idea who's Jodie comer)and when I watched "The Hunt" (which I wasn't also aware who's Betty gilpin at that time) I was very certain that they were both the same person!
