No, he's a good salesman. He has the necessary cluster of traits: in addition to being good looking, he's likeable, charismatic, funny, clever, a good talker, and has sufficient marketing instincts to recognize to play all that up in creating the Ryan Reynolds "persona", which is as much of a brand as the actual brands he uses it on.

@@CrashHoax Exactly, you nailed it. Plus in some cases (mostly thinking of Wrexham) I think the guy is authentically passionate about what he is selling. People can sense that and it goes a long way. This is also likely why he's more sarcastic about some of these other endeavors: to preserve that hard earned authenticity.
